Anyone else find this contract issue laughable? Sanchez is by a country mile, Arsenal's best player. Never before have I seen a player that is a perfectly built as he is for the Premier League. He has carried their team from the moment he stepped onto the pitch at The Emirates, and is undoubtedly the first name on the teamsheet for them. So he wants x amount of wages p/week. Obviously he's not worth that amount (no one is). Think about his importance to the team though, and how pivotal he has been to any success they've had since he joined. Arsenal/Wenger - swallow your pride, admit you ****ed up and give Sanchez what he wants. He may not re-sign with you, and I wouldn't blame him. At least you can say you tried though.
Does seem daft - yet Walcott and other average (by Arsenal standards) players get given contracts each year it seems.
Sanchez is on current form , the best player in the EPL. He needs to leave Arsenal , so he can win the trophies that his talent deserves. And not just his talent; his incredible work ethic and never say die attitude. Whenever Arsenal are up against it, it is always, always, always, him, that wants the ball and constantly tries to make things happen. He may , or may not, be having a strop behind the scenes, who knows ,I dont really care, because when he s on the pitch he gives everything he s got, and thats all that matters. He s wasted on Arsenal and Wenger, and Sanchez should leave in the summer.
The difference is the other Arsenal players are happy with the amounts they're earning (as I believe there's a wage cap at Arsenal) - Sanchez is not.
He's a bit of a ****, as is Ozil. I look forward to Arsenal's transition period when Wenger leaves in the Summer, hope they enjoy midtable!
Not surprised - most of them probably aren't worth it. Yes there is a wage cap but surely Arsenal have to break it if they really do what to compete with the best?
True, but sorta nullifies the idea of having one in the first place. Tottenham also have one and seem to be competing pretty well.
