He tweeted just over a week ago that he wasn't injured anymore and looking forward to making his debut for Udinese. I'd take him back, although yes he was a disgrace at Charlton last season.
Could you imagine Holloways reaction if we were now cancelling Udinese contracts so that we could sign players out of the transfer window, as we didn't have any loan slots left? That can't be roaiight!!!!! (I'm pretty sure even if they cancel his contract, he couldn't sign for us until Jan, but if anyone could do it, it is the Pozzo's)
Also, we could sell Dyer in January and bring in Riera, which would save us money and many would find it an improvement.
Assuming someone would want to buy. Assuming Dyer would want to leave a well paid, lengthy contract and assuming Riera's wages were lower. Yes.
He clearly isn't enjoying his time at Watford. I hope he cheers up because at the moment I can't see any reason to play him. He attends and takes part, but where is the commitment and desire to receive the ball. Where has the passion gone Lloyd?
I will generally pray for this to happen absolutely love the guy, have him back in a heartbeat don't ask me why just would.
In all seriousness he had plenty of quality on the ball when he was here. Sometimes question marks over his application but I reckon he could still do a good job.
Absolutely useless when the team surrendered at the end of last season but quite a classy player. Better than Dyer.
As a player, he could certain be useful at WFC. As a professional and a man, I doubt so. The Gazzetta dello Sport dedicated a piece on him after he and Udinese rescinded the contract by mutual agreement (http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie...oker-tweet-infortuni-caccia-10088750079.shtml). He clearly doesn't like the Pozzo's as owners, as he tweeted that Udinese is the worst club he ever was at. Something the Pozzo's clearly didn't appreciate. They appreciated even less the fact that, while Udinese was playing against Chievo (all the other players not in starting 11 or on bench were, as usual, following the match), Riera was busy playing poker for 12 hours in a tournment in nearby Slovenia, were he won 2nd prize but lost his contract at Udinese. I really doubt the Pozzo's will ever be willing to hire Riera again for any of their teams, equally Riera will not be willing to play in one of their teams.
Now being reported in the British press. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-old-boy-albert-riera-4720418?
I think that's enough said on Riera. Probably his last contract in football - unless the "special one" sees something in him!
There will probably be some possible contracts for him in Russia, Dubai, China or similar. But I doubt such an unprofessional behaviour will be appreciated in any serious league.
I think we should give him another chance, he's not the joker everyone thinks he is. When the chips are down you can count on Albert, he could be the ace up our sleeve this season if we play our cards right.
He was a flop when he was here and now he's sold our sister club down the river. I'm not ante-Riera, but I personally wouldn't have been surprised to see Papa Pozzo deck him. I hope he does decide to jack it in now as I think anyone who signs him will get a bad deal.
How dare you. The Russian, Dubaian and Chinese leagues are pinnacle of football. And Thai leagues. Just ask Slavika or whatever his name is.
