And this was when I was in League 1 ( I had a nightmare 1st season was tinkering with the tactics too much, though came straight back up as champions and only lost 2 games and won the LDV VANS Tropth)

Marlon went for £2.5 Million and I got Matt Jenson and Craig Gardener on Free Transfers.

Matt Jenson scored 35 goals and Tamas Prisking got 30 and while I still had Marlon he got 22. I only conceded 15 goals

 

how did you get into league 1... i always get sacked when it gets near the end of the season if i am not above 18th

 

I started as plymouth, and so far i am in playoff positions, i got chris sutton and matt jansen on free and loaned 3 or 4 premiership players. Good game

 

I got relegated on the last day and the board offered me a new 3 year contract.

They came in for banugura just after the transfer window shut so had to wait for him till the end of the season

Suppose if I held out I could of got more but I needed to strenghten my squad for the championship and basically I had the same squad that got me relegated

How did you not get sacked after 2 relegations?

 

only 1 relegation don't forget this is the 2006 version, I haven't got the 2007 vesion yet so we were in the Championship to start.

you guys have nothin on me!!! i'm in about 2008/9 season where watford sit 11th in the premiership and the board are unhappythey say they want euro football (champo league)
got promoted first season then tons of good players wanted to play for me. finished 16th first season. currently playing bayern leverkusen in the knockout stage of the uefa cup. last summer i held off,........ £21 million pound offers from roma,newcastle,liverpool for al bangura. basically played him every match in my first season and he has become 1 of the best midfielders in my game now (no joke).

signed ben foster on permanent deal for a million. signed saha for 6million (was unhappy at utd) and SWP last season.also got kim kallstrom, g. rossi,alex,fabio grosso and many more stars i can't think of right now! got hired as manager for rep of ireland + took them to win 2008 euro championships. current reputation is world class

 

how can you lot be so good?!?!
I got sacked on fm07 after 3 games at watford(lost 4-0 on each)

So i started a new save with a good team(inter) i was expecting to win the league easily...but no i finished 6th and only got into europe because i won it the season before! On my 2nd season with inter, im 16th, 2 places above relegation after 17 games, my team is:

Materazzi Andreolli Grosso

SWP Viera Nielsen Stankovic

Owen Adriano Crespo.

It's all in the tactics, what tactics do you use?

 

always a good signing at the start, a young striker by the name of Alfonso, available on a free from day 1... prolific goal scorer. I always put him in in place of King, i find king isnt that good in this game.

King was fantastic for me in the second season, had lots of injuries in the first season

 

in 06 in one game, i got gretna to 1st in the spl and came second in champions league to real madrid

foster26, from looking at your squad, i cannot really see why you are struggling! i play 4-4-2 with wingers all out attacking or 4-3-1-2 . i'm with plymouth,as i picked a team where there is little pressures- they just want mid-table, im currently in 6th. Chris sutton on a free has scored bags of goals for me!

 

I play a 4-1-2-1-2 formation, attack, quick tempo, mixed passing, using the full width of the pitch.
The 2 central midfeilders I have got the arrows point out all the way to the side and on the central defenders I have the arrows going back towards goal.

Seems to work a treat, a very attacking tatic but not for the feint hearted, as you do need to get the right players for this tatic otherwise it can be very high scoring games but majority of the time you win.

 

My team's tactics vary with the ability of players I have in my squad. Usually play diamond if they're good, or the 4-5-1/4-3-3 style formation.

 

King isn't so good on 06, but is awesome in 07, though he needs a good strike partner...
He had 3 goals before Jan, then after I signed Eddie Johnson he scored 12 in the final 15 matches
