Thompson is going to be a good player. Going out on loan is going to get him good playing experience, but lets hope we use that to our advantage when he comes back rather than let him rot in the reserves..

Diagouraga looked really good as it happens - a bit of a late developer I reckon.

“ADAM Thompson has returned to Watford after the completion of his loan spell.

The Northern Irish defender was brought in as cover for the injured Shaleum Logan back in August, and went on to make 10 appearances for Brentford, scoring one goal.

Bees boss Uwe Rosler was keen to keep the 19-year-old at the club, but with Logan back to fitness, couldn't guarantee the youngster regular game time.

He said: “Adam did very well for us. He was solid, filled a gap and I asked to keep him longer.

“But he would probably not start every game, and Watford felt he would play more for them than us.

“I'm thankful to Adam and Watford for helping us out.”

I can't see him getting much game time this year at all unless theres an injury at the back. I think that he can bring a more attacking full-back role to the squad, better than Lloyd can provide anyway. He runs up to the finish line, exchanges with the winger then never continues his runs, it's like he's on a bungee rope pulling back into our own half

I like the bit about Tommo probably being able to get more game time with Watford than with Brentford.

    Maybe they mean the reserves...

Or he may be played in his preferred position (centre-back).

Brentford obviously aren't aware that Dyche doesn't play anyone under 21 as they may show up all the has-beens he has signed. Tommo has got a couple of years before he will get any where near the bench while Dyche reamins in charge.

"ADAM Thompson's loan move to Brentford has fallen through as the Northern Irishman is needed at Watford as cover.

Bees boss Uwe Rosler revealed that he was hopeful of bringing the 19-year-old, who made 10 appearances during a spell at Griffin Park earlier this season, back to TW8.

However, Hornets chief Sean Dyche has pulled the plug on the deal due to an injury to right-back Lloyd Doyley.

Thompson has failed to feature for the Championship club since his return to Vicarage Road last month."
