This week from Aidy Hi everyone, There’s little that hasn’t already been said about the goings-on at Hull at the weekend. Quite simply it wasn’t good enough, I know that, you know that and the players know it too. But it’s gone now and we’ve got to make sure it doesn’t happen again, that’s been the resounding message to the players and staff from me over the past two days. This weekend we play Coventry and whatever the pundits say it’ll be one of the toughest games of our season, and we’ve got to go and win it. There can be no hangover; there can be no feeling sorry for ourselves or sulking. What I want to see is a high-octane, energy-filled performance that goes and grabs the three points we need round by the throat. Opportunities like this don’t come around too often in this game and there aren’t many managers and players that can boast of promotions and winners medals, I don’t want to miss out on that opportunity and neither will the players. For those of you that travelled to Hull we’re particularly sorry, and you’ll be uppermost in our minds as we prepare for this game – we want to put it right for you this weekend with a performance and result for you to be proud of. But we want to do it for ourselves too. There are six games to go and whatever the statistics say at the moment, come the end of those six games there’ll be a brand new form table and a new order and look to the Championship. Of those six games we’ve got four at home and we know what we’ve got to do here at The Vic, then at The Hawthorns and Bloomfield Road. Our ambition is to be top of that final form table, if we do that then we’ll have given ourselves a great, great chance of achieving our ambition. We all know it’s going to be hard, that’s the nature of competition, but we’ve never shied away from the challenge in my three years and I’ll be damned if we’re going to start now. If there’s a team of people that’ll work harder than us this week to put things right then I’d like to meet them. But for now, it’s back to it for us. See you Saturday Come on!
it’ll be one of the toughest games of our season, and we’ve got to go and win it. how many times have we heard that one.
I think the home support will be key in the remaining games. With 4 of the 6 games left at home everyone needs to get behind the team!
This is our last real chance to clinch automatic promotion, if we lose it's a short trip down the met line to Wembely for us.
