A Realistic Replacement for Sordell?

If we do sell Sordell for £5m or more in the January window, who do you think we could realistically go in for as his replacement, bearing in mind we will hopefully be able to invest at least up to half of what we get for him?

Any suggestions?

 

Tyrone Barnett of Crawley although we may not be able to match the wages he is on there. I would also try and get Marcello Trotta on loan from Fulham when he finished his loan at Wycombe. He is class.

If Kightley goes back what about trying to get Tommy Smith again.

Probably a loanee, can't honestly see us spending over 500k on a permanent replacement tbh. Will hopefully also free up money for a creative cm and/or winger.

I don't know about a replacement for Sordell, but a good replacement for Iwelumo would be a tree.

It'll be a loan I'm guessing. If we aren't gonna use Massey or Assombalonga get them playing regular league one football because they are the next stars I think, definately something about them.

Has Sean Murray not been out on loan? He's the one that I think will make an impact if given a chance.

 

Yeah good point he'll go out as well hopefully. Not sure if they'll wait til next season though because he hasn't finished his scholarship yet. Maybe give him a few months at Wealdstone towards the end of this season before getting him league football next season? From what I've heard and the few games I've seen him play in the first team and youth team he's looking good enough to be starting!
