I guess he thought the game wouldn't last extra time but does seem a bit of a farce seeing as there was a pitch inspection and all beforehand.. Ipswich's goundman probably won't be happy....and its a wasted for our lot and the fans who went.
Ridiculous, to call it off that near the end is just plain annoying for those who went and all the players.
Guess extra time was going to take place, but yeah at first glace it did sound like a stupid decision
From what the Ipswich report said there was a pitch inspection and the game was even delayed beforehand so clearly there was a doubt about the whole game taking place anyway...ok I guess he wanted to give it a chance but 88mins is late.
As ET would have meant an extra half hour it makes quite good sense really, if conditions were that bad!!!
To be fair no football should be played in conditions like that, well, unless it's women's football of course.
