According to Aidy he has 80-85% of the players he needs for next season. So what positions are they and who to fill?

    Goalie seems obvious
A Centre back - to replace Malky
    A Central Midfielder
    A creative or wide player

Well I suppose Willliams was meant to be our playmaker but that is kind of down the pan for a while. Is Williamson creative midfield or Bang bang midfield? I think we need one mroe midfielder, but we have to offload some current ones first.

Get somebody for each position, not to start, but as back up

I think we need one new player who is bloody fantastic, in almost any position and be prepared to pay what seems over the odds.

Should be looking at league one clubs and selling championship clubs.

defo a goalie, a centre back, a left back and a right midfielder possibly a left midfielder aswell these would seem most likely

I would say Goalie, Centre Back with experience, right wing cover, playmaking midfielder and a left back.

so you wont a new left back because he had one or two bad games this season.

as for the midfielder i would like to see rinaldi signed. he looks calm and composed on the ball and can run at players. what we need in my opinion!

I like the look of Rinaldi too - his pass for Priskin was exactly the type of play we have struggled to put together of late.

He also physically looks up to the rough and tumble of the Championship

I like him because he is brazillian, but not all greasy and pathetic, and attacks people.

No centre back needed. We have 3 decent ones and two of three right backs can cover if needed. Left back however we need a starter - not cover. Right wing we need someone to fight Noddy for the starting berth. Our central midfield is fine. Between Rinaldi, Williamson, BangBang and Mahon - we have two players for each position. Oh - and then there's Francis. If Cavalli can come back in form we've got two widemen on the left. Up front we're fine. And then there's the goal keeper. I'd stick with Lee unless we can get someone of premiership standard. Lee is good enough for the CCC - but by all means - get someone in if it's for the promotion and beyond.

    Gk: New
Rb: Chambers/Mariappa/Doyley, good enough for Champ.
Lb: Stewart, Parkes back up, good enough for Champ.
    Cb: Shittu
Cb: Demerit/Carlisle. If Demerit goes then maybe need new starter. Plus need 1 more backup, unless Avinel is ready for the step-up.
    Mr: Smith. Need backup
    Lm: Boozer/Cavalli
    Mc: Bangers/Mahon./Francis
    Mc: Williamson/Williams/Rinaldi
    Fc: King
Fc: Priskin/New, quick and proven. Ellington perhaps?

We wont get Ellington we tried last summer. They arent short of money and dont need to sell there players, espically if there going up which they might.

    Hoskins / Henderson / Ashikodi / Kabba / Robinson

we got enough strikers good enough for the champ, its the service from centre mid and the wings.

As I see it, during the summer we only need 2 players... backup goalie and backup right winger.

We have 3 good central defenders and Avinel must be an adequate backup even if he is not the finished product yet. We may need a left back to cover for Stewart if Parkes is not ready yet. On the left we have Marriappa and Doyley... they may not have set the Premiership on fire, but are more than capable of handling the Championship.

In midfield, we have a wealth of options, although we may want to find a hard tackling, good distributing defensive midfielder to cover for Mahon... although Bang-bang is not bad (just maybe a little TOO hard-tackling).

Smith and Bouazza are obviously our number 1 wingers, but Cavalli looks like a good backup for Boozer. We do need cover for Smitty. Neither Marriappa nor Kabba are really wingers... their crossing is lacking. If we could find a quality ambidextrous winger, we should buy him and his twin brother like a shot... it is not beyond possibility for us to lose both Smith and Bouazza to injury (or red cards) during the season.

Up front, we have probably got too many choices... King, Priskin, Henderson, Hoskins, Ashikodi, Kabba... I'd expect to see a couple leave in the summer, probably Kabba and Hoskins. Sad for Hoskins since I think he'd be great for us, but he needs to play and I don't see where he would get the chance to do that unless he takes out a contract on King, Priskin and Henderson.

In goal, I have no problem with Lee, but we do need a backup for him and I don't know whether Loach is ready for that step yet.

I pretty much agree with you Siggy, apart from; if we want to go immediately back up, a new first team goalkeeper may be needed.

i think lee is good enough, once we come back up fosters contract runs out and he'll come back :)

bangura looked good on saturday, on the ball he was composed

I see a battle between Lee and a new keeper for the position rather than Loach as he is so young, though I feel in the long run if it would be more productive if it was just them battling for the place. Though of course, that would still leave us with the need for a new keeper.

Spend all our money on Danny Haynes of Ipswich?

A first choice 100% PROVEN goalkeeper.

A Creative, ball-playing, shooting, Central midfielder.

    A cheap back up winger.

And if a bargin comes along then why not get a new left back.

Thats all I think we need.

Good shout mate, however I think we are ok for a left back, maybe a backup for Stewart, but not a replacement.

I agree VOR - we can use the lad Parkes as back up for JS - will be a good test for him in fizzy pop. If Powell stays in some sort of coaching capacity then he can be a third coice if injurie take the other two out. Remeber thta Jay can play at left back quite competently and with Dan, Clarke, De DE DE and Lloyd we have centre back cover.

I doubt Powell will stay. With Malky here I shouldn't think there will be much need.
