is there anybody else who feels that our best position to finish in would be 7th. It will put an end to all this if and butt's and will leave fans feelign we simply was not good enough instead of all this anger about if we had doen this if we had done that. We dont have the staff to take us to the premiership a strikeforce capable of scoring in league two or a midfield capable of playin the ball along the floor. I have been thinking we can still make 2nd, but now relistically it would take ; stoke D W L hull D W L watford W W W (HAHAHAHAHAHA) Bristol W D D 7th place would simply put an end to an embarassing season, and we would not have to go through any more optimism leading to heartbreak
apart from the taylor years, a play off finish in the 2nd tier of the league is a v good season if hull and w.brom go up, i quite fancy us for the play offs
The worry is if promotion does not happen we will lsoe key players like Shittu and Smith but then I don't want to be the next Derby either!
Yeh and so that we dont get our hopes up next season...how about a nice lovely comfortable 14th place finish next season?? i want watford to win every game, not be happy that we lost and finish 7th
Smith wouldn't leave. Shittu? Personally I wouldn't care. Your complaining about the ball not being played on the floor - Danny is one of the biggest culprits. Yes he has been decent this season and yes I appreciate his hard work but we can do better imo.
Not one of our players is premiership class, do who really cares who leaves, i just got funny feeling if we fail to go up, no money will be spent
Oh the new messiah !!!, and who do you have in mind Guus Hiddink ?. Wake up and smell the coffee, Aidy is not the finished article by any means but he'll get there in the end. I just hope that he is still our manager when he does.
Yeh...im lost :S how is that relevant to us being happy with loosing and not being heartbroken?? and if you want us to not go up so that aidy goes... how about we win all our games and go up, and aidy stay.. i know what id rather
For all the posters who seem to crave failure there is a club a few miles up the motorway that would be ideal. We won't miss your negativity or your booing on Saturday !!!
Budfrog - the majority of watford fans are duza pizda. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
See what you mean feller, but i can't see it myself. As you say, maybe if hull and westbrom get auto, if hull are in there with us then we have no chance.
And the point of finishing 7th is what ? If nothing else lets at least give ourselves a chance by getting in the playoffs 1 season at £40 million and further financial security has to benifit the club
Tut, tut , isn't it obvious - as with all the 'vanished shekels' at Watford Leisure Plc FC, twas that bald Italian guy that stole them all .............
Its been a long hard 9 months of destroying my body christopher, ive got a week in spain and a week in ibiza this summer, im knockin on a bit now and I need the rest
Play offs are the best we can hope for I feel, we MUST make them for the money it would bring in, I'd love to see us go up & if we do, it is imperative that Aidy is supported as GT was by Bertie Mee & he was by Birkinshaw before we started on our current run of poor results / form. If we do make the premiership however, it will take a mass clear out of all the dross who cannot currently make the first team & a significant dip into the transfer market to bring in at least the necleaus of a Premiership squad. No as for who would support Aidy, how about Sir Bobby Robson?
If we end up missing out on the playoffs, then the club must bring in a Director of Football, or a mentor, whether Aidy likes it or not, otherwise Aidy must go!!! It is just not acceptable to finish 7th or lower, however, I do not want Aidy to be sacked!!! I would prefer we brought in an experienced mentor for him!!!! I really believe he can go on to be one half of a legendary football management team, like a CLOUGH & TAYLOR or a GRAHAM & HOWE!!! Neither Clough or Graham were ever as good without their partners in crime, and I believe Aidy is in the same mould. We all know his attributes as a motivator, but we also know that tactically he is quite frankly *****!!! Get the man some help, whether he wants it or not!!!
