On the 606 forums, he/she had an excellent record (they had to have genuine inside knowledge with the accuracy they managed), and then suddenly stopped posting - I remember several people suggesting it was someone who worked at the club and had been forced to shut up because they had got close to being caught and sacked. Since then several other people have used similar names and have posted total b0ll0x. No way of telling whether this is someone else posting rubbish under that name or the the original person is back, and still has good contacts. If it turns out to be true then I'd take future predictions seriously, but on this one let's wait and see.
There was D Ward shown as retired on one of the clubs transfer dealings page on SSN, I think it might of been Bristol City? Could that have been Darren Ward?
The winger will be Hoolahan on loan to January with an option to make permanent according to local rumour.
3 counties radio reported last night that heider helguson is signing on loan although why it couldn't get done by 5 pm is anyone's guess. As our next game isn't until next saurday due to the international break, the other 2 players could be done over the next week or so,when the loan window re-opens next friday for football league teams.Wes hoolahan looks a good shout as new norwich city manager paul lambert has told him he is no longer in his plan's and free to talk to other clubs. The centre back i would think is between Tamika Mkandawire and our ex player Darren Ward, although i would prefer the lad from leyton orient.
the only bonus is with the international window, we wont have to play another game before we can sign someone. we need to sign a couple on loan with view to permanent, so they have determination to do well and earn a permanent contract
possibly a loan with the option of a permanent deal, in say january, perhaps similar to the marlon king deal?
I think it would be a loan with a permanent view, i.e. a transfer outside the actual transfer window. Heidar, Hoolahan and either Mkandawire or Ward (or both) would be nice. And much needed.
Unfortunately Mkandawire and Ward both play in the Jay DeMerit style, they are not the aerial winners in the back four - both are 6 foot or less as is Jay. Given our back four of Hodson, Mariappa, Demerit and Lloyd is 5 8, 5 10, 5 11 and 5 11 respectively I think the type of centre half we need has to be tall like Willo ie 6 2 plus. In fact our whole squad is pretty vertically challenged.
mkandawire is 6 foot 1 and ward is 5 foot 11,john terry is 6 foot 2 and you rarely see him beaten in the air.peter crouch is 6 foot 7 and you can't say he is good in the air
There is nothing anywhere outside of KJ's head. KJ, have you taken an advance on that pint and got yourself drunk? Your "inside knowledge" is far from convincing.
We could play Heidar at centre back. The leaping Viking could do a job there. Perhaps that's why MM has signed him.
Holly68 has also said Helguson, Hoolahan and Ward are the 3 players to sign on loan. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/4577459.New_players_will_join_Watford/
I hope so. If we get those three, all with a view to buy (cheaply) I'd say we've had a very good window (considering). I'd be content with that.
Same, Ward for me wouldn't be the best signing but we can't seem to be get any better then him at the moment so I guess he would add some more depth and height into that position. Hoolahan is a skilful player, I rate him very highly, and would be very happy with the signing although I do wonder where he would fit into our midfield.
Jenkins has looked off the boil recently, plus Eustace has looked decent when he's come on, longterm though the position is Jenkins. Lansbury has done nothing since coming here to warrant a starting place, just because he's come from Arsenal doesn't mean he should walk into our starting eleven.
