Yes, but your usual ST seat is guaranteed every season, up to a certain date, without paying £20, let alone the credit held for games you were not able to go to. I can't believe they wouldn't allow you to buy your ST seat in, say, January if you hadn't bunged them £20 now.
While I agree with all of that, I expect they’ll want to move quickly to sell new season tickets as soon as they can and if it’s at short notice I bet they’re planning to run the seat movement window alongside sales rather than after it. In which case if you’ve not paid the 20 quid ‘your’ seat could be nabbed by someone else unless you get in and manage to buy it before someone else does.
Well I'm really confused. People are actually paying good money on the offchance that they might well get to see some more of the crap that has been served up recently. I'm seriously considering suing Murdoch for my SkySports subscription under the trade descriptions act because what WFC served up last season certainly wasn't sport.
I’ve “secured” my seats. I must admit that last season was one of the hardest I have ever had to endure. I have questioned my sanity on more occasions in the last year than ever before. I really don’t know why I spend so much of my time and money watching Watford. It does seem I have a worrying addiction. Help me!
What's all the fuss about. If you don't want to renew, don't pay the £20. If you do want to renew, pay the £20.
The club already have my money from last years ticket rebate as deposit. WTF is the £20 about? Makes no sense. £20 obviously immaterial just nonsense poorly communicated pap from a club that is run shambolically.
Maybe the ticketing system is built in a way that it requires a payment? With merchant fees making £10 relatively expensive to collect and £20, an easy number to deduct from a prorata cost of a future season ticket. They want to know how many current season ticket holders want to renew, and again using the ticketing system is more efficient than a separate database. They can see how many people on the waiting list still want a ticket so they can start actively market to them. I am sure I am among many who want to go back to attending matches ASAP, but only when the authorities consider it appropriate to do so without social distancing. Primarily because attending with my group is a key part of the reason for going. Not sitting in isolation from them surrounded by a no persons land of empty seats. Personally I think the virus is going to be a bigger issue on renewals, fan base management, etc than relegation.
Well I'm going to pay the £20, I just hope that they will not be forcing us to wear a nosebag / muzzle, as I am not giving in to the tyranny. That being the case, I will want a refund.
It's £20, not sure what the issue is. I suspect it's more about seeing how many we will have and how that works when the ground reopens but with reduced capacity. Did mine on my phone this morning and it was very painless
I wondered if the numbers leaving their balance with the club may have been lower than predicted leading to worries that people won’t renew. Asking for a commitment of £20 will precipitate some to make that decision before they decide to spend the cash elsewhere. That’s a real danger for the club if it heads towards Xmas before we get back in.
I hear that Gino has rented out the roof of the Rookery for a 5G mast, so you might want to stay away anyway.
It wouldn’t surprise me if clubs don’t get back to 100% capacity this season. I also think that, once a limited number of fans are allowed in grounds, local lockdowns will still cause some games to be played without any spectators.
20 quid to then be able to sit out this season, but reserve my ST for the 21/22 season when we might be back in the PL and I can see the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea play and beat a load of hacks? Yes please
What is your luck like with the lottery ? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...old-lotteries-decide-fans-can-attend-matches/
A silly system, as some may get more than others. If the rule allows 25% capacity then they should do it that no one can go more than once per group of 4 matches. Then they should allow families with children to be grouped together so they can go to the same match. As I live locally evening matches are convenient for me whereas it would be difficult for other people.
Be a few mid week games which might put people off if they have to travel knowing it's on TV or I follow.
Apparently they're sending round stewards to every lottery 'winner' to escort them to the stadium on a matchday.
Im really hoping that ticket master are involved. Im sure they'll make this a painless and uncomplicated process with their years of experience
Bast*rds. Still I've outrun the law before and I'll do it again. I'll buy a season ticket, but no one's going to make me watch this lot until I'm good and ready.
I am seriously hoping that there will be allocation of seats for away supporters, I'm looking forward to going to a few for a long weekend away, Bournemouth Cardiff Middlesbrough and Norwich just for starters. Don't suppose there will be much chance though.
