    Super result there!!

You've got a good position there by the looks of things, a nice height behind the goal complete with LARS flag and an interesting cross of St.George flag that appears to red something like Angel City Brigade, England on Tour, do you know anything about these guys Fitzy ??

Going back to being behind the goal, is it that much of a big deal to be behind the goal over there ? Do clubs tend to have their main section of fans in one end as is traditional over here ?

Oakland Coliseum is a Baseball Stadium, so it has the soccer pitch wedged in at a weird angle. Only the first row could see all of the goal box below. My seat in the 6th row gave me a view of the top cross bar only. I ain't complaining...much.

yes, there is another supporters group new this season called the ACB or Angel City Brigade. I think they are pretty good and always sit behind the goal on the north side of the pitch at the Home Depot Center. This is your traditional behind the goal support section. Most other MLS supporters groups in soccer specific stadiums sit behind the goals here, but for those teams that play in football stadiums like New England, New York and DC, and until recently Kansas City, the supporters groups sit in the first 20 or so rows in the midfield on one side. They can do this because the popularity of soccer has been pretty low until very recently, so demand for those seats has been pretty low. It's just pathetic seeing 7,000 people in a stadium built to fit 80,000. Absolutely pathetic. The Chicago Fire, the Toronto FC, the Houston Dynamo, FC Dallas and Columbus Crew all have supporters groups that sit behind the goal.

Remember, due to geography, away support is rare, so the stadium tends to be divided into supports group sections and ordinary season ticket holder sections.

I always enjoy seeing the photos Fitz. Keep them coming.

How does the Riot Squad get on with the new supporters group? Is there friction?

I enjoy the photos too. However, if they were of Watford fans a string of derogatory posts would follow, which makes me sad too. :(:)

Cracking photo's fitz. Always great to see how much fun it looks like you guys are having.

But dude, get your arm around the one on the left, stay clear of the bird on the right, there's no way you were THAT drunk.

I don't think my mom understood that the thing the guy was holding up was a camera. Yes yes...great fun.

Good fences make good neighbors, and the ACB are on the far side of the stadium, so there is little stepping on one another's toes. They were set up in a very respectful thoughtful manner and while they do their own thing, they see us like big brothers, sort of...not to belittle them because they are very good, but we are still the A-team, and they are the B-team. I see them as eventually being much larger. At that point I will see them as US Army, and LARS will be Delta force. At the 89' mark, they sung a song of respect for LARS "We love the Riot Squad" or something I was too drunk to understand. We chanted back "ACB! ACB". It was a regular love-in. I actually chanted "PCP! PCP!", again due to drunken attempt at comedy. My sister thought it was funny. Mom didn't.

The first Galaxy supporters group, the Galaxians, still exists. There are about 7 people in it and they suck incredible amounts of ass. Yellow wigs and face paint and drums that don't go with anything...just stone cold ********.

I have a photo of Miss Faith in Lot 13 with me but I didn't post it for that reason. I noticed that even if people post a pic, they blank out the eyes or face to prevent id'ing the subject...like we are all hardcore hooligans or something. If you can't share a picture on the internet, what good is it? Oh I forgot, all the great ideas we get from each other makes it all worthwhile.

Dr. King? Sure, why not? Her boyfriend Steverinho is one of my good buddies, a semi-pro surfer, a skilled fullback and all around great guy. I've drained many a pint with the lad.

You have to come over for a couple of games next Season, I am sure a few on this forum will help you out with tickets

He sounds like the american version of me, which basically means i'd be a bit cooler and therefore Dr King, will be mine.

Does he get into brown town?

Good question...I don't know. I was about to say that American girls aren't as ****ty as English, but didn't think that would go over well. However, you know what I mean, right?

Love to, mate...it's a matter of $ and time. Not impossible, just tough. It takes a lot of convincing with the wife...I got REAL close in May this year, but dammitall it didn't happen.

Fullback as in the sleek, agile, girly footballer? Or as in the brick-********* only on the footbawl field to bugger into people.

There are things for women to do in Watford you know. There's a Primark! And a museum.

If you were saying s lutty, i've seen some dvd's that would disagree with your comment.

However, generally speaking, i think you're right, and it doesn't bother me one bit, nor would it bother the majority of english chaps, so call them slags all you wish.

it'd also be fair to say they suffer from lower self esteem and go crazy/wild more often as a result

Fitz, i notice that Galaxy have a number of early kick-offs in the back end of June and into July and August, over here the majority dislike early kick-offs alot, is there any displeasure towards changes to the 'normal' start time ?

  31. Fitz

    Fitz Squad Player

    Two things:
Football is orthodox sporting in England, like everywhere else in the world except the US, Australia and Cuba where other sports rule.

Soccer is alternative sporting here in the US, and there is little preconceived notions about how it 'ought' to be. The majority feel it 'ought' NOT be. We are lucky to be alive!

Next, we have 3 time zones here (not including Alaska & Hawaii), so on our broadcast tv we are used to acommadating for time zones. Next week we have a 9am kick off, but it is a noon kickoff in Wash. DC where the game is held. We have noon games, and they are 2pm or 3pm in Chicago or New York. We have a 7:30 pm kick off today, but that's 10:30 on the east coast...not exactly prime time...the game ends at half past midnight there.

Bottom line, no expectations on time across the board...except weeknight games! Those suck balls because in LA traffic if you get off work at 5pm, there is no way you can get home and back to the stadium in time for the kickoff.

Not a great game...one we should have won, but failed to keep in hand. We were lucky to be given the PK, but that was just one of a slew of abominable calls the ref made. Simple things too, like balls going out of bounds off a Columbus player but the Crew getting the corner or throw in.

Sounds like a cracking 2nd half!!

What are the numbers after the players' names in the score summary ?
