What memories! It's amazing how first team players were in the tournament, now it's just Masters. They also had a Soccer 6 competition on Manchester IIRC. However, during the commentary they said we had never won the tournament before, I'm pretty sure we won the competition when Worrell Sterling was named player of the tournament.
Great to relive this and see the ego's fall one by one as Watford progress to the final. Clive Allen's oggy to put us 1-0 up in the semi was very amusing as was Hans Segers pathetic attempt to put off iceman Porter from the penalty spot....only one winner there. Watford's route to glory:- Millwall 2-1 Luton 3-0 West Ham (sf) 2-0 Wimbledon (Final) 2-1 Chelsea and Spurs were knocked out in round one....
