Well at least nobody did this:
I don't get what makes them 'exclusively' Watford fans, were they doing whatever they were doing because they were Watford and had been to a match, or because they were drunk etc.? Even better is whether he was carrying cocaine because of Watford 'Officer it was us letting 3 goals in made me do it, blame the midfield not me', or just had cocaine in general At what time period before/after a match do you just become a normal member of the public committing a crime, rather than attaching the word 'football' on which means better media attention and a likely harsher sentence (if found guilty/convicted)? Answers to the above on a postcard please.
Don't know about coke but some of the players were playing as if they had smoked something before the game which certainly wasnt performance enhancing.
Well they were presumably readily identifiable having got off of a train from Peterboro. However the headline is porr. Only 1 was arrested for Cocaine but it gives the impression it was more

British Transport Police make 36 football-related arrests on a turbulent weekend - last updated Mon 15 Apr 2013 Premier LeagueFA CupNewcastleSunderlandMillwallWatfordMan CityChelsea Trouble flared in the Millwall end at Wembley on Saturday. Photo: PA British Transport Police (BTP) announced they made 36 football-related arrests including for violence and racist abuse during a number of outbreaks of football disorder over the weekend. The BTP also suffered injuries to four of its officers. Of the four injured officers, three were from the force including a female officer who was taken to hospital after a brick hit her shoulder. Following the second FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, four Manchester City supporters were arrested at rail stations for offences including racially-aggravated public order, assaulting a train conductor and possession of drugs. Four Chelsea supporters were arrested at Wembley Park for offences including common assault and racially-aggravated offences. On Saturday, BTP officers arrested six Millwall supporters for offences including affray, theft, racially aggravated and public order offences and being drunk and disorderly. In other incidents, 11 Watford fans were detained at Kings Cross. BTP Chief Constable Andrew Trotter said: "This was a very busy and, at times, very testing weekend of football policing.
Sorry forgot to add the comment this link is from the main ITV website so linking these 11 in the same article as Millwall, Newcastle and Sunderland. I should imagine the Chief Constable has cancelled all leave for the high profile hooligan encounter tomorrow night !
In that quote you post maybe the journo cannot add up as I make that 25 arrests not 36-anyway BTP have to keep up with the general weekend theme that out of c 150,000 people at Wembley maybe 30 "fans" were arrested and that heralds a return to the old days. The scenes in Newcastle were different i concede but the old days were very much about fans fighting/attacking each other (innocents/scarfers as well) not attacking police-well not in the main-last thing like that i think was Millwall (crikey !) v Birmingham-10 years ago I bet that more than 30 are arrested on a normal Saturday night in Liverpool. Sure the scenes in the Millwall end looked scary for those nearby including that girl but to my eye it looked like the police eventually waded in with batons to control the situation. By repeating the 2 minute scene over and over again it comes over as much worse than suspect it was. That is a fairly common occurrence now in the desire to fill our 24/7 news-a bit like the scenes in Trafalgar Sq where it looked like there were more cameramen/women than "protesters"-all desperate for a scoop/action photo. Of course violence is ever present in society-football was and still is to an extent an outlet for that but CCTV has ensured that for many Geordies including the horse puncher there will be a knock early one morning pretty soon. So justice gets meeted out in the end.
Probably that massive chav who told me a few years ago he knows Lucy pinder and used to work with her...
When I got off the train at Kings cross I saw a few blokes on a east coast train or whatever it is getting held by police as they were trying to scuffle away. That and some massive **** off dog too. Doesn't surprise me.
