Very weak reasoning but I wonder if Sinclair has left the club with still a year left on his contract. The player profile pages have been largely updated with the players in the age group set-ups who were not offered new terms now deleted and new additions taking their place. Sinclair was there yesterday on the first team squad page, albeit without a picture, but has now disappeared altogether. Even Holebas is still represented so it seems strange Sinclair has disappeared. The only item coming up in the search function is news of his loan to VVV last season. No recent news comes up on any google search, his twitter page is woefully out of date and his instagram account doesn't mention Watford at all. That may change if you have an account but as I don't I can only see the front page, so to speak.
If he is still a WFC player I'm pretty sure he will be loaned out yet again and will stay that way until his contract expires unless we can actually find some mugs daft enough to want to buy him
Still on our booking accoridng to transfermarkt. Out of contract next summer. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jerome-sinclair/profil/spieler/236513
What a waste of money. Another of the Ibe type of signings. Plays for a so called big club out of their academy so he must automatically be decent. It would help if Sinclair had an iota of footballing intelligence but he has none.
Here are the highlights from todays CSKA game. After coming on as a sub, Sinclair scored an 84th minute equaliser before hitting the bar a minute later with a header. By the way, if these are highlights then the grey hair in my beard is silver threaded webbing spun by the magic spiders who live in the ever decreasing black whiskers on my chin. CSKA hitting the bar, Arda scoring, Sinclair scoring then hitting the bar and Sofia's keeper dressed like an aubergine were the only shards of light I could gleam from these dark & miserable 7 & a half minutes. Jolly Jerome's goal starts around the 5' 35" mark. Enjoy.
I told you the highlights were bad for the CSKA/Arda game today but I didn't realise quite how much of an impact they'd make. Sofia's head coach, Stamen Belchev, has tonight been told he has the X-Factor insomuch he is now the ex-head coach of CSKA. Sacked. Goodbye. Take your flowery moniker and pollinate elsewhere, dear sir! Good luck Adalberto & Jerome - Watford's very own international crooning twosome? - you're going to have to perform for another coach now otherwise the Eurovision Song Contest will be your next port of call. edit: Serbian Zlatomir Zagorcic looks like he may be the replacement. Who knows, maybe him and Ivic have some common ground and something positive comes from todays events. Now please, stop interrupting me as I continue to clutch at these elusive straws!
Good goal. I do find the whole situation bizarre though. What a career path of: Liverpool Watford Birmingham Sunderland Oxford VVV Venlo CSKA Sofia Struggling to score in league 1, then onto the Europa League. Fair play to him for taking on the challenges of playing abroad, something that young English players seem to have a bit of a natural aversion to.
So Jerome Sinclair's time at Watford is finally coming to an end. After spells at Birmingham, Oxford, Sunderland, VVV Venlo and CSKA Sofia he's out of contract in the summer. Liverpool really had our pants down on this one, was it £4m we paid in the end? I don't recall there ever being any suggestion he had a bad attitude, think he's just not very good at football. He's 24 now and has made 100 senior appearances in all competitions since signing for us, scoring 10 goals. Even though he's clearly bobbins, pretty sure he would've contributed more than Success this season.
I seem to recall he refused to go on loan to Sheffield United a few seasons back when they were in League 1/the Championship? I remember he was fairly bright in the League Cup, but not exactly 'threatening' against lower league opposition, which makes sense given his record
I think it was his agent’s fault. I seem to remember some footage of Chris Wilder in his office trying to sort it all out. He claimed Sinclair was already on the train on his way up when the agent had make some silly demands and it fell through. Can’t remember, or even imagine, what those demands were given it was only a loan. Edit: Found an article - https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...airs-loan-deal-and-says-player-should-man-up/ And the video - https://twitter.com/brfootball/status/903935617121308672?s=21
He definitely had a bad attitude. I was working somewhere where the players had to do a player appearance for a junior hornets thing. He was the only player who didn't turn up, meaning one of the groups of kids only had one player with them. I overheard the Watford staff talking to Hughes/Cleverley and the conversation was basically about how much of a ******* he was and how it wasn't his first missed appearance so his fine for missing it would be huge.
A friend of mine who lived in a block of flats in Sunderland got a new neighbour a few years ago who turned out to be Jerome Sinclair. He said he'd stop and chat to him every now and again. Said he was a nice guy by all accounts but it just didn't work out for him there.
