Especially when the ref sees fit to send him after 53 seconds.

I don't know what club Cavani plays for and I very much doubt we could afford him, but what a signing he would be if we could even dream of getting him.

Several of the 68-69 team wore braids recreationally although KF insisted on the more classic look on match days.

I don't know who he plays for but we are clearly the bigger club so should comfortably get him.

Seemed good, but not needed at all - we don't play with wing-backs, and if we sign someone for the left hand side it appears to be Masina, or if not then Augustinsson.

I don't know what club Pele played for when he was at his peak and I very much doubt time travel is a possibility, but what a signing he would be if we could even dream of getting him.

I’m not sure it could be said ‘not needed at all’. At times last season we played with 3 CB’s so a LWB wouldn’t be the worst addition. Especially with the likes of Janmaat/Kiko/Amrabat being more suited to that role on the other side.

He seems versatile, can play in central midfield and full-back, is energetic and technically sound. Would suit the sort of pressing game we saw against Chelski I reckon. Would surely be an improvement on Cholevas!

We will be signing someone else to replace Cholevas - a specialist LB. And central midfield is not a priority for us (and when has he even played there?!).

We played it for about 3 halves worth of football last season, and whoever we sign for LB will be the first pick LWB should we ever use it again next season. We won't be signing a fairly high profile player only because they might be needed off the bench as back-up for 3 halves worth of games per season.

In Italy I believe he has played more often as central or left sided midfielder. Would be a good box to box mid, I reckon.

Well he didn't even play in the centre once last season, don't know about previous ones. And even if he could play there then I don't suppose he'd do much different than what Hughes can already do for us.

He's probably more similar to Doucoure than Hughes. Never going to happen anyway as other Prem teams are interested apparently.

Just saw Alf-Inge Håland son bang in 4 goals within 20 minutes. Only 17 and we'll worth keeping an eye on. The baby face assassin rates him very highly.

You saw the match, or just saw it in the news?

Anyway, Man Utd are scouting him, and had a scout at that game yesterday - so given that and the Solskjaer link I'd suspect he'll go there.

He's got a good left peg on him, that's for sure:

I only saw highlights. The most interesting thing is the way Solskjaer spoke about the kid. I suppose Man U were the champions league outfit he spoke about, that were in dialogue with Molde.

I thought their tight back was a class act. Get him in because we're definitely short in that department.

Danny Welbeck. Only one year left on his contract, only going to be a bit part player with the strikers have in their squad, probably only £10 million. Has had virtually the whole summer off while maintains fitness for the World Cup. Might take lower wages for a five year deal. Has more pace and quality than any of our current options.

That's actually a pretty good idea.

His injury record has improved a bit in the last two seasons as well. It seems unlikely he'd last a full season, but could be expected to miss maybe a month:
