Spurs don't really play with wide men though, so makes more sense

Best form of defence is attack...and so on and so forth.

Spurs fans all predicting Sissoko to have a worldie and score a hat-trick.

Might bring some valuable knowledge of how to cut Spurs open.

I can't believe Levy has allowed Sissoko to play this match. Bit of common sense to delay the move by 24 hours to prevent it.

Not complaining though. Bring it on!

Imagine the uproar from them if he crunches Kane or Son and puts them out for a few months.

Have we ever played 4-1-4-1? King up on his own is going to be interesting. Thank god it's not Deeney or Gray.

Ngakia, who I've said repeatedly I think needs to play.

Even if Rose doesn’t have the legs for 90 minutes yet, I’d have probably started him and got whatever we could out of it.

Cathcart starting at RB is genuinely a tragic indicator of how poorly we’ve recruited defensively. We went down with Kiko and Mapps playing there, and somehow we’ve come back weaker. Horrendous. Xisco clearly doesn’t rate Ngakia, which is a shame. Desperately need reinforcements.

Lovely to see Sissoko and Kucka alongside Etebo. If those three can click, we are so strong in that area. Equally glad to see King up there with Dennis and Sarr. So much pace. Cucho can feel hard done by, but I think King offers more in terms of holding the ball up, which will be valuable if we’re going to get anything here.

Seeing the lineups, I think it will be Spurs 2 (Kane 12,59) - 2 (Sissoko 74, Cucho 87) Watford

I think Rose will appear later in the game. Right now he’s probably not 100% fit for 90 minutes against the likes of Spurs.

The team is very physical and won’t be intimidated by Spurs who will have to turn it on to win.

Handled Zaha well in the week, looked mostly good in his appearances last season. Only 21 and the only way he's going to improve is through playing. We have to stop stifling young players.

Playing our ageing, fourth best centre back at right back is not an acceptable long term option. Give Ngakia a chance.

Maybe Cathcart is there as an extra central defender as Spurs don't play with natural wide men do they?

Son and Kane just tend to float around causing havoc!

Yeah. I meant as it stands. once Cucho is given games he'll be a world beater and move to Chelsea for 90m

Catchart is there, because Kiko is injured and our dunce of a manager would rather play a crap, slow centre back there, than give Ngakia a go.

Xisco clearly thinks Cucho is an impact sub.

Still, as long as Sema isn't playing, it's good.

Happy with the line up in most part.

Not liking Kaba being dropped. I’ve already made my feelings clear on why he should be ahead of Ekong, so I won’t go there. However, what is predictable is the fact that Ekong will gift Spurs with at least one goal scoring opportunity.

Masina needed to be dropped for Rose.

Ngakia needed to start ahead of Cathcart today. Had a great game in the cup. Deserved to start.

'Spurs who will have to turn it on to win'.

I think you meant just turn up.

Disappointed to see Cathcart is still involved at the club.
Let's hope for not conceding early and then get in the game.
    Fingers crossed.
    Enjoy.

It is difficult to understand why anyone would suggest that AL is not ITK. Three hours ago he wrote "No Kucka today as I understand it" in the match thread on the Athletic.

To be fair, he did write when the team lineup was announced: "return for Juraj Kucka (that 10 day projection has come up trumps after all)." AL had previously reported (when there were rumours about Kucka being injured for up to three months) that Kucka would be out for no more than 10 days to two weeks so that there was a possibility that he might be fit to return today.
