Season Statistics 2020-21

As Davidmsawyer said he can't post as much, I though I'd offer up stats for this season. the first two charts are ready and I'll add others as the season progresses.

The first chart shows points progress for this season and those promotion seasons of 05/06 and 14/15 plus the play-off failure of 12/13. Behind these are the average point srequired in the last 20 seasons required to finish 1st, 2nd and 6th.

The second chart shows the league position for the same seasons by game.

 

It can always be added later if required...

 

Ok that looks like a great start. So far, so good. Can we keep it up is the question ?

Good work taking this on Hornet77, much appreciated, been one of my favourite threads over the past few years.

 

Can we have a 'gap to Luton' line as well?

 

I have added in lines for Luton Town line and also for relegation, which I hope become closely connected as the season progresses. As things stand Luton are 2 points and 6 places above us.

Good to see the thread renewed for this season H77 and also revamped in presentation.

I am a massive fan of the local rivalry given my age and the history of the 80s/90s but for me I would take Luton off.

 

I don't see the need for L*t*n to be included.

Yes....remove Luton and replace with Bournemouth....our real rivals.

Me too.........a couple of observations

• In 138 games in those 3 seasons we never kept 3 consecutive clean sheets
• In those 3 seasons we never dropped below the play-off places in the second half of the season

 

Updated with further goal stats and top goalscorer data added. I'd welcome suggestions for any other stats you'd like to see?

Left the area after HotShots in Hemel closed down.

 

He was an exciting player . Breath of fresh air in a very dull era

 

Looking at those stats the front 3 or 4 scored 50+
Goals.

Can our front 4 do the same ? Assuming Gray is main starter in a front 3 with Pedro and Sarr, with Deeney and Perica as CF replacements .

Total = 92 goals at an average of 2 goals a game

Seems feasible when you look at it as individuals but can’t see us scoring that many , but with our defence scoring 75 goals would probably mean automatics .

 

Another anomaly that goes against the grain and under the radar , but 14/15 season , the blinding start under Beppe of 12 points in 5 games was the difference between automatics and play offs .

 

I think the goals may be more evenly distributed between our forwards with a handful each hitting 11-12 e.g. Pedro, Gray, Deeney, maybe Sarr if he stays all season.

 

I don't understand this point. What about the 15 points from the last 5 games before the Sheff Wed finale?

 

I guess the point I was making was we see Beppes reign as a farce but we forget the amazing start we had under him.

 

After tonight against Blackburn we have scored two more goals, but added three to goals scored.

This has doubled our goals scored in the league and og is our joint second high scorer.

Just call me Statto.
