To live without my music, would be impossible to do. In this world of troubles, my music pulls me through.

 

I would agree with this. Listened to it yesterday and it is great Sunday afternoon listening. It's not one i'd go back to again and again, but it was very pleasant. The only thing I would say is it's quite same-y. I'd like to see them try something a bit different every now and then!

I've not really followed Fleet Foxes latest stuff, but quite enjoyed this. Favourite song was Sunblind.

 

Good song . In fact it is one of those "pension" songs which will earn the songwriter
a nice little amount each year

 

I don't think I've heard this in about 30 years! The song itself is pretty dismal, but the instrumental bit is cracking.

it’s on Apple musics so will have a listen , how life has changed I started when I was young with a Walkman, dodgy orange headphones and could only carry 1 or 2 albums, we now have aféese to virtually any music you can think off on a device 1/4 the size of an old Walkman . I also think the dodgy orange headphones (with no noise limiter) coupled with a love of heavy metal has given me tinnitus

Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk is one of the best albums ever made.

 

Great band but quite a miserable/bleak album i thought. Preferred the one before. Of course he died last year at age 64 .

They may no longer be fashionable but I really like The Killers new album. Much better than their last 2 offerings These 2 tracks are great examples - loads of energy esp towards the end as the second one builds. Start the first one from 55 secs to cut out the boring acting before song starts...

 

Saw them at the Brixton Academy a few years ago because my daughter wanted to see them and I wasn't letting her go there on her own! Great show, very theatrical too with some video stuff going on at the start on a screen behind the stage. She came with me to see the Cult on their Love 25th anniversary tour, but then I had to go and see Sigur Ros and that was a bit tedious

Just checked the album I have and it's from 2004 on There's A Riot Goin' On records. None of the liner notes are in English but the singer is called Justine.
I bought it on the strength of a single called 'Hey Gravity' and I probably played the LP twice. 'Revolution' is often on any playlist I make though.

Having a listen to 'Hey Gravity' as I type and if I'd heard that for the first time today I wouldn't have bought the album.

 

I quite liked it although it did feel like it blurred into one song at first listen. Probably songs that would slip better into a playlist. I’ve put ‘featherweight’ on a playlist because it’s got a lovely feel to it.

I’d completely forgotten about them to be honest, I liking an album of their’s, possibly their first one about 10 years ago.

 

Their debut album was the first one I ever bought.

 

SdA is one of the few vocalists I've heard who sounds as good live as on studio albums. She is a phenomenally talented singer.

 

I'm a big fan of SdA. I'd put her and Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna coil in my top five favourite female vocalists for sure.

 

I’ve been watching Jools Holland for about three decades now and it’s a tribute to his playing that boogie-woogie still hasn’t grown on me.
