    I think we're starting to truly see the Pozzo scouting network in action. It's well documented that previously, they didn't have the financial clout to make it work properly; sometimes players were outside of their range. Now we can afford to sustain fees that Udinese could not, thanks to the ridiculous money the Premier League brings.

    3 million for a single player isn't high (although perhaps risky if they're very young), but 20 players at 2 or 3 million is another matter. We can sustain that; Udinese cannot. I also don't think Udinese would have gone in for Richarlison at the money we paid.

    It's pretty hilarious seeing us do a real life Football Manager, buying up all the young regens before the big clubs come calling.

    Good to hear. On a possibly related issue... Hopefully we don't get screwed by the intentions of FIFA to reduce loan outgoings to 6 players.

    Yes some teams "stockpile" talent. So what? Tom Cleverley, Jack Cork, Ben Foster, Nathan Aké, Chalobah and countless others made a career because of their loan experience with us.

    Trying to think of an example of a young player getting into the first team of a Premier League side without any prior loans or coming from playing in a lower league. Rashford is all I've got.

    Reckon that is why he is joining us in 2020. There won't be a limit on the number of players who you can have lined up for the future. We will basically be buying them after their 'loan deals' as opposed to buying them and then loaning them out. Hope that makes sense although it probably doesn't.

    I think it's more a reflection of his age. I think FIFA have a minimum age players can move continents at or something.

    Correct. They have to be 18 years old at least before moving. Vinicius Jr has the same before joining Real Madrid.

    Also... Unless he's the second coming... Why would Fluminense be inclined to play a guy who is leaving?

Praying that we get to see all our youngsters (Cucho, Penaranda, Hughes, Pontus, Quina, Chalobah, Wilmot and Joao) play for our team together in a few seasons time. That squad has an unbelievable potential that so few clubs at our level can come anywhere close to rivalling. Hopefully we don't send em all off like we did with Sancho
