I think he contributed well when he came on not in a football sense but in calming everyone down, trying to kill the game, and playing in the corner
Has the penny finally dropped that he has at last got to work to get his place in the starting 11 ? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...-concerned-places-watford-first-team/?ref=rss
Well he would have seen what happened on Saturday and noted there are serious players up front rather than just Gray/Success.
He's obsessed with weight. In his mind all anyone ever has to do is to lose weight to magically recreate their youth.
Absolutely. Start a campaign internally to get Xisco sacked and then start again with the new head coach.
Sounds like there is a career waiting for you in Cricket then Troy But in all seriousness, why has it taken him until age 33 to realise he doesn’t need the physique of a boxer to play football effectively?
Sarr needs someone quick by his side in order to counter. His flick-on to Dennis was better than what Troy normally does and Sarr had the pace to follow it up and score. Dennis drew the defenders away from Sarr. Troy would still be on the halfway line. We have possibly the quickest front three in the league. End of the day our best chance of survival is the get the best out of Sarr, not Deeney.
Realised that his plan of slimming down to become Watford’s undisputed best player hasn’t worked out so needs to get the attention he seeks another way.
Should be a good listen if you want to find out the team for saturday, the tactics, why he should start and whether or not the BHA defenders have any nuts.
Munoz on Deeney to me: “It’s a question about today. I used these players as I want to see everyone & I give a rest to Sarr, Kaba Masina & Troy also. Moment now for try to give the best for the team. We need to speak about the guys who played” #watfordfc @BBCSport3CR (Geoff Doyle)
Deeney hasn't played a League Cup game for us in 4 years. And has only played 3 for us in 8 years. We just don't seem to use him too much in the early rounds.
In fairness though this is probably the first time for 4 years he hasn't been first choice? I seem to remember Silva wasn't too keen on him. Edit: looking back Deeney didn't start the games either side of the cup game he started in 2017.
Imagine if the man who finally bins him off ends up being a glorified PE teacher who did his work experience in the Georgian league.
Adam Leventhal @AdamLeventhal · 2m #WatfordFC transfer breaking Troy Deeney could leave prior to deadline with limited game time likely after arrivals of Dennis, King & other attacking options. Nothing agreed as yet but may see 33 yr old exit after 11 full seasons at VR.
Was sure you’d made that up for a laugh! I’d be happy to see him go. I look forward to being able to look back fondly on the contributions of a proper club legend, rather than getting wound up by an over-the-hill waste of resources who can’t keep himself out of the media.
There can’t be a PL club where he wouldn’t be even lower down the pecking order than with us, so which championship club are both mad enough to take on some of his ridiculous wages and expect him to actually score some goals?
Made enough money ain't he? Could just go to Brum on a free and £20k a week. Would get a heroes welcome.
