Just one year left on his contract ? Sounds like he hasn’t even been at the club for months . https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/spor...-wednesday-blunt-verdict-watford-27413842.amp
Oh dear ! Doesn’t sound like he has made a good impression. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...-a-message-to-striker-ashley-fletcher-4274424
Spent 64 mins on the pitch tonight: 11 touches of the ball 6 passes attempted (2 successful) 1 aerial duel won (6 attempted)
Well Rajovic had more touches, more successful passes, and as many aerial duels won, in 18 fewer minutes so....no.
Not that we care, as we just needed someone to unload him on to (and presumably pick up wages and/or loan fees), but I do feel for him a bit going on loan to a team always likely to struggle, I know he's not great and is a reason for that, but surely it would be better for him to drop down a division?
Top top top signing by Pozzo. Just what was required after promotion to premier league. Impossible for anyone at the time to predict what an utter waste of money and time it would be. Mind you might lead the line in L1 after our current stellar forwards have been poached.
We did the right thing to sign an ex Man Utd player for nothing, that’s just genius business. When he turned out to be absolute garbage, we then did the right thing to send him on 17 consecutive loans to get him out of the club, that was even more genius business than his original signing was. That’s before you even factor in the millions we’ve made in loan fees. A triple genius bit of business form Gino, that’s a Harvard business school education for you.
With Tom Cleverly as head coach and little investment expected, surely Fletcher will have a role to play at Watford next season, no matter how awful he is? Can’t see anyone paying even a small part of his wages on a loan deal again. Ex-United buddies and all.
I'm almost certain he said he was in his last year of his contract here when he signed on loan for Wednesday
Can't find that interview, but Capology says his £15k pw deal expires in the summer. Hope Wednesday are covering most of those wages! https://www.capology.com/player/ashley-fletcher-34974/
The £15k a week does expire ….. and the inflation adjuster kicks in. £20k a week and Tom will be building his team around him. This is why he said he was happy with his striking options.
