We’ll always have the 10 minute spell earlier this season when he randomly morphed into prime Spurs Moussa Dembele, spinning past challenges, nutmegging and breaking into space. I genuinely don’t know if there has ever been a passage of play that’s had me laughing at the TV in absolute disbelief quite like those 10 minutes. Utterly random and astounding.
PPG with Kayembele: 1.57 PPG without Kayembele: 1.13 Pretty clear now where the season fell apart. The stats say that if we had non stop Edo in the team for 46 games we'd have got 72 points. Hopefully we manage to keep hold of him in the summer.
Oh for the heady days of November, where the main gripe was a player who couldn't use his right foot. I do actually think Kayembe gave us a lot more control of games than he's given credit for. Choudhury was much better alongside him
Much like Babylon Zoo, one day we’ll think ‘oh yeah remember him’ before moving on with our days immediately.
1.3 PPG with Cristian 'I wasn't a defender until I was 21, bet you can't tell!' Kabasele 1.36 PPG without
Apparently he has liked some Tweet congratulating Luton on their promotion! https://twitter.com/lordmoretti/status/1662547520545865730
Don’t hate the player hate the game. How else do you expect players employed by a circus and who have three different managers every season to react to this? This is the culture Gino has created at our club.
Yes none of our squad will be sad that Luton have gone up . If anything they will be pleased for ex team mates. And managers. Didn’t he play a lot under Edwards too ?
As you know, I do very much hate the game, but in fairness that doesn't stop it being a very stupid, tone deaf thing to do from an individual perspective - particularly if you're a player not exactly universally beloved by your fanbase to begin with. There is some element of personal responsibility involved, still. I guess it shows authenticity in that he runs his own social media accounts, at least!
Assume everyone has already realised he's mates with Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu, through them being teammates at international level? Still not a great look, mind.
Wasn’t aware of that . Could have just sent a tweet or text I guess. I see Ashley Young is getting some stick for celebrating a penalty scored. By a young Villa lad on loan to Luton … Context and all that .
Players are not the same as fans . Generally they will only feel personal pain for losing which is not the same as a fans pain . However SOME players will feel the pain we as supporters endure . I am certain as I can be that Troy Deeney felt the same pain we all felt when Coventry missed that penalty.
At least if we're going to launch it straight over the heads of our midfielders under Ismael, then we won't have to watch him dilly dally on the ball and suck the life out of every attack he gets involved in next season. The number of times he would have a simple pass on to keep us moving up the pitch as a unit and he'd take three or four extra touches was mind boggling.
That is a good point . We are all keyboard coaches but we all know that we should move the ball quickly taking as few touches as possible unless you are dribbling to take a player on
