    Norrie wins in two.

    Felix's poor run continues.

What a win for Marozsan from Hungary.
    Beats Alcaraz in straight.

Home favourite Sinner kncoked out by Cerundolo.

Comfortable for Novak v Norrie but they didn't end the match on good terms.

Cerundolo is a typical South American clay courter, very dogged and not without skill.

So many players can win on this surface, unlike grass.

Marozsan loses in three to Coric.

    Medivet beats Zverev.

Tsitsi 5&5 against the last Italian Musetti, at a stupid time this morning.

Superb match, longest on the WTA this year between Kallinina and Haidad Maia.

Ukrainian winning in three having been 0-3 in third.

ND has had too little match play.

He'll hope he can play himself in during week one at RG but it's risky, especially as he's injured.

Stan beats Murray in Bordeaux Challenger.

    He's done Malts I think.

The Babolat King is dead. Long live King Alcaraz, unless Tsitsi can learn to slice properly if course!

Tsitsi beats his Νέμεσις Coric 3&4.
    Medivet beats Haufmann 2&2.
Swiatek pulls out v Ribakyna at 2all in the third.

I don’t believe we’ve seen the last of Rafa. I fully expect him to return from this latest setback for one final swan song next year. Let’s hope so anyway.

    So disappointing.
Haidad Maia was banned too but they accepted her answer of contamination.

    This seems more dubious.

Maybe but Rafa is so reduced if he can't be physical, it's 85% if not more of what he is.

    Sometimes the body gives up.

Norway edges out Denmark in Rome.

Who would you say is the better player?

    Ruud is pretty formulaic.

The Boy Band has much more about his game. However he is almost as unpleasant as Ostapenko who apparently called Rybakina a b***h yesterday.

    More rain in Rome.

And still it rains in Rome!
Rune nailed on to win now.
This is the third match Tsitsipas has had delayed due to rain.
It's incredibly draining hanging around waiting to play.

    Tsitsipas meltdown.
Telling his father to ask his mother to leave the stadium and loses his serve from 40 -0 to go down 5 -6.
Has to play three people, his opponent and his parents!
    Unworkable.

He played really well when it didn't matter and abysmally when it did.
    5 all 40 -0 for example.
Has to remove most of his family from the box and he really needs MP back, he's a calming influence.
Very difficult when it's your nearest, especially given his bond with his dad due to the swimming incident.
Rybakina wins title as Kallinina withdraws at a set and 1-0 down.

Maybe no surprise to hear Andy Murray won't be playing in the French Open so he can concentrate on the grass court season.

Didn't really understand why he attempted to play any of the clay in truth, other than for match practice.

I didn’t say though that Rafa would be a realistic contender should he play on. I don’t think he would be. However, I think he’d like to bow out on his terms rather than enforced ones, and I expect him to do a last appearance at as many of the slams as he can, especially Paris.

With one week remaining of my time at Hobblesdon the club have removed my access to book courts.

Adult players and parents are livid. It will really back fire on them.

Many of these players have been long term members and they see this as an insult to their fee paying.

They will play elsewhere with me, either at Hazelwood or closer to their home.

So short sighted but that's most tennis clubs in GB for you.

Sorry to hear that IBB. At least after this week you'll have less horror stories to tell, (which personally I'll find disappointing)!

Oh don't worry Diamond,I have enough horror stories to write a book.

Infact I may begin,I've threatened for a while.

They say everyone has one book in them. Trouble is they're almost always dreadful!
