    Really should have won.
HH had the almighty elbow on his forehand at waist level. Above that he was fine but mid range he was decelerating faster than Assombalonga when his hamstring went.

    Berrettini beats Cerundolo in three.

Boy Band Rune beats Thiem quite comfortably.

Meanwhile in the wacky world of Hobblesdon dear reader matters descend into roughly the fourth circle of the Inferno.

One of the ******ous women inexplicably allowed to organise the men's first team has been allowed to set dates for the above.

Why she is allowed anywhere near a computer or phone is the question any sane person is asking.

Not that there are many left in EN11!

It's hard to believe it can worsen but I think it will.

Lorenzo Musetti beats Djokovic in three having done a double egg against his talented compatriot Luca Nardi a few days ago.

Medivet and Zverev into a third set on Rainier III.

Late night tie break in Monaco which seemed to go on for ever with both players missing chances to win the match.

Daniil Medvedev prevails in the end 9-7.

I went to bed at 5-2 Medivet as Zverev had got the wobbles on serve again.

Just who is advising Emma Raducanu?

She declined to play at Coventry in the BJK this weekend v France, citing a " training block".

Yesterday she was at the NTC filming a Porsche promotion.

Not gone down well in the dressing room.

Furthermore what car is more likely to be keyed than a pink Porsche?!

    Think girl, THINK.

WillisWasTheWorst Its making less grammar mistake's thats important

It looks like someone is advising her to maximise her income while she can. Knowing nothing about it, it seems worrying to me that someone so young has frequent and persistent injuries. She may think she has time on her side, but she should be concentrating on overcoming those and improving her game if she wants a long and successful career.

Yes then Zverev had match point but blew that .

I think you have it Will.

All of her contracts were signed post US Open victory and who can blame her for taking such offers. Pretty girl, talented player = very marketable.

However the persistent injuries, especially to the wrist which are a death sentence to a tennis player,JMDP for example, may mean she doesn't want to be the next Laura Robson.

That is to say forced into early retirement having missed out on considerable wealth.

For the most part this isn't so as she will always be able to trade off the Flushing Meadows triumph but it's alarming that she has been injured almost ever since.

Moreover she probably should have had an operation immediately on the wrist and not hoped it would heal with a short lay off. Witness Murray who delayed his hip operation by six months and then returned six months too soon.

The Boy Band sees off Medivet, tough schedule given the lateness of his last match.

Baby Fritz too good for the ailing Tsitsipas.

    Dinner too good for Musetti.

    Ruble likewise v Struff.

Cornet wins in two tie breaks.

    2-0 France.

Tough now but perhaps France will follow our lead?!

True but Evans has the game to drive Karen potty, especially on the clay where his slicing and dicing will work best.

Another good win v Cerundolo in 3 sets.

Does he like the clay particularly?

I think he's grown to like it.
As I said earlier his game is well suited to it as he chips and dinks and dips.
He's a good athlete and the clay allows him to stay in the points.
He'll need all of his guile and resourcefulness against Alcatraz tomorrow.
Carlos appears to be able to play for Saints and in Barcelona on the same day.
    Impressive!

Now the Italian women are advancing.
Elizabeth Cocciaretto is at 53, having won 125 event in Mexico last week.

Currently serving for it v "Nutty Babs" Strycova, who's been away for two years.

Starting to have Laura Robson vibes. What is it about British tennis that takes its toll on the women players so much? Any insights?
