Just had a look at their fixtures for the rest of the season and they look pretty kind…

 

We can still get 6th place.

 

In fairness to Bilic we were 2 points behind Luton when we sacked Edwards, so he’s worked wonders to claw back a point in 20 games.

 

Sexy three at the back Edwardsball or turdball from Bilic.

I know which one I prefer.

 

Edwards was probably never going to succeed with the squad we provided him with but it's not surprising to see him do well up the road, continuing the Angry Goblin's work.

It was clear that a lot depended on him winning over a squad, building team spirit which was always going to be difficult with our disillusioned ragtag bunch, most of whom had just been relegated for the second time in three years.

He's also got two strikers that are a proper handful and can score goals. Both signed from lower down the EFL after good spells, something we're allergic to doing.

 

To be fair, I watched the Luton game last night (i'm sad I know) and they didn't look anything special. They had one chance and scored it, and a draw would have been a much fairer result. If Cardiff had a decent striker they'd have won that game.

I see Harry Connick Jr has left them to join Bristol City.

With our fitness team, injuries usually last more than an hour!

 

I know a scum fan and he said they are pretty poor but I think that goes for most of the league. It might be exciting in the fact it's very close points wise and everybody can beat everybody else but the standard is poor

 

I think it's definitely got worse since we went up with Bournemouth in 2015. A lot of teams seem to be more inconsistent than ever and the pace of Championship football seems to have dropped a couple of notches.

I was at a funeral when I saw him so felt kicking him in the bollox wasn't the right thing to do so I took a wee in his cup of tea when he wasn't looking

 

Interesting funeral dynamic where it’s appropriate to whip your member out and take a piss in public, but not to kick somebody in the balls.

I'm sorry Blackburn, but the precedent was set when Adrien Silva was late by a few seconds at Leicester.

 

WBA above us now 0n level games played. I remember bods on here deriding the notion that WBA were better than us in November/December.

 

Jed Wallace on a free was such a good signing and I'm so jealous we didn't get it.

Albrighton on a loan is a fantastic signing too, they could really go up.

 

Haven't fully gone through the fixtures to check if any are duplicate/against each other, but on an essential basis, there are four teams immediately below us who could all overtake us just in making up the games in hand they have on us - never mind any future performances.

We are fully entrenched in the playoffs, though, so there's no need to worry

 

With 4 very easy games coming up after Reading .
At what point do we start cheering Burnley & SU on, just to make sure Luton don’t catch them ??

 

New manager, plus getting Dike back fit and firing. Lack of a decent striker was the main thing holding them back before.

Fucckkkk me, I knew we had a crazy 4-game run next but I never actually directly engaged with it to the point of realising exactly who each of the four teams were.
