He’s 100% going out on loan. I don’t know where but successful talks happened over the weekend. Loan with an option.
A lesson to all who demand money’s invested in the squad. Even £5m guarantees you nothing these days (when spent at Miracle Mogi’s discount emporium for misunderstood gems)
YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS It's incredible that people were defending him up until a few weeks ago. Utter gash.
Was clearly a terrible signing - and I think trudging off the pitch against Blackpool was a superb metaphor for his time here.
I don’t think he’s that bad. He’s no No9 and never when he comes in a Davis replacement. Played in a 2 off of a hold it up style striker he’d be fine. He wants the ball in front of him and received running in from behind.
Probably more vital than you think, he's won us 7 points. You could easily say his **** finishing has cost us points as well but it's still a contribution none the less
Disgraceful signing made for all the wrong reasons and probably prevented us strengthening where we needed to. Wonder what the buy option fee will be. If it’s £5m then he will be back in the summer for sure.
The only options are that the powers that be at the club are incompetent, or it was dodgy. Nothing else can explain such a bad, expensive transfer.
It's not his fault we vastly overpaid for him but he is rather limited. Just hope we recoup some of that cash in loan fees.
I didn't realise we still had Fletcher on the books... I thought they'd just driven up the M1 and chucked him out at some services up north.
Started off fine, has become lazy and disinterested over last couple of months. Sh*t signing all-in-all.
Goodness me! Occasionally I wonder what it would be like at one of Pozzo's meetings. I then decide it would be too frustrating to know and top up the bird feeders instead!
I suppose he has got 2 late winners but then someone else might been been in his position to score too. Anyway even poor ineffective strikers get the odd vital goal - Andre Gray for example.
I've heard Watford are interested. Prepared to pay £5m apparently. At least we'd recoup what we spent. Oh wait...
How about: Udinese CSKA Sofia Anywhere in Scotland / Belgium - he's played in both before Bottom half of the Eredivisie Nantes This lot are either phucking crap (as you would say) or we've got form for shipping duds to them / vice versa
We all know why he's here, why he was bought and who benefited from the deal. None of that is his fault but he's simply not good enough for this level of football. The whole move has been a complete disgrace, in fact the whole recruitment over the summer was an embarrassment. It's further highlighted the fact that Pozzo is a joke and shouldn't have anything to do with recruitment.
Difficult to say a player has won you X points, because it ignores the fact if they weren't playing, someone else would have in their place and could’ve contributed more. Unless of course that player was Manaj instead.
I think it's fair to say he has won us points this season. He scored in the final minutes against Boro and Norwich to turn draws into wins. I don't really get the "hate" for him either. Do I think he's any good? No, not really. He's an Andre Gray clone, but he's still been useful to us this season. He's nothing more than a bench player. He can take up good positions in the box and he is prepared to run. The rest of his game as in build-up play, taking good chances and overall play are generally well below standard. I think the biggest issue with him, in many people's eyes, is the fee we paid. Well, that's not his fault. Had he signed on a free for for around his market value of £1.5m, then I think fans would be a bit easier on him. He didn't do himself any favours for that slow walk off against Blackpool either. But, I think he's been useful and could still pinch a few vital goals in he stays. I don't mind having him around the squad.
I love things like this. He scores from 6 yards out in front of an open goal and he won us 3 points, as if to say we wouldn't have won had he not been there. yes he got the goal but he was the worst player on the pitch
