Pukki and the Ginge are their biggest goal threat with 8 or 9 of their 32 goals this campaign. They’ve only kept clean sheets in 23% of their games but to counter that they have an xG at home of 1.88 registering 16 shots on average. They like to score either in the first 20 minutes, around half time and around the 70th minute mark. Given all that and the knowledge our depleted squad is coasting in the knowledge we will sack the manager soon my prediction is: Norwich 3 (Pukki 6, 45) (Sargeant 68) Watford 0 I’m going to this game as it’s my local one. Under no circumstances should we ever ever ever play a back three again. The only remote chance we have of getting anything from this game is to go Bachmann Ngakia Cathcart Sierralta Sema/Morris Bacuna Kone Sarr Asprilla Martins Davis If that’s not the team, then there’s no point in playing the game at all. Might as well forfeit and take the 3-0 loss.
If Norwich don't win this I will be amazed. Just hope Kone and Martins don't get dispirited and ruin themselves. Would be nice to see Blake instead of Hunglo. Might as well give a spot to someone who may give a flying fark.
We've won here on our previous two visits, and beat them in the reverse fixture. But, we sort of still half cared at that point. All that care has gone from the side faster than Deeney running past a salad bar. Norwich are still one of the better sides in this division despite their recent form, and we cannot lay a glove on a side who had not won it 8 games, and suffered our heaviest defeat of the season. Despite what some of their fans' still beleive, we are not rivals, even in fandom circles, that honor goes to the muffins on the South Coast. I can see Pukka Pies scoring a brace, Sargent bagging one (he always scores against us), and some tinpot subsitute getting a fourth in injury time. Locals will be trying to give it large all game, as our shower demonstrate that we can still lose three on the bounce and never look like scoring a goal. Kone' and Martins may or may not start, but it seems nailed on they do. An improvement in attitude from last night would be a welcome change. We have the FA Cup after this, so we can go and win that game at a canter. I fully expect Norwich to breeze past us with little to no challenge. Norwich 4 Watford 0
How many times under different managers have we seen WTE make a major error? Up until he gifted Swansea a goal it was a reasonable away performance. Let's get Sierralta in on Monday in CB partnership with Kabasele, with Ngakia and Cathcart as full backs.
I've never understood why football vidiprinters did that. It like they think people cannot distinguish what a number 7 looks like. 1-0 2-0 3-0 4-0 5-0 6-0 7 (SEVEN)-0, 8-0 etc.
Based on current injuries and the last 2 performances, I have no idea what the starting lineup will look like. I’m already anticipating a heavy defeat to a Norwich team who really need the win. No matter who starts the match, I want to see a performance worth watching. I want the players to be hungry for the win, putting pressure on the opposition, looking like they actually give a **** and be proud to wear the Watford badge on their chest. I’d go as far as saying this is the most hated squad in Watford history. We have had squads far less talented but with more passion and drive, sprinkled with the raw academy prospects it was underdogs fighting for every scrap. That was the Watford way, that’s the Watford I know and I will be happy if I get to see that fight from this squad
