It’s not enough if Kamara gets a red imo or rather Kamara’s red is too much.

Players are always pushing each other over. It’s a nonsense. Typically, one incident happens and while it does three or four other players do exactly the same in the melee. The ref deals with the first only. If it’s such a line, reduce the game to seven a side.

No coach or manager can escape criticism but teams do fail to deliver.

I can remember a few occasions under GT when we were all astonished at the frailty,Orient at home for one.

    However it's pointless debating whether α or β or γ should do χ οr ψ or Ω.

This is at Pozzo's door. Years of neglect/ arrogance and incompetence has brought us here.

I think it was TC's tache whose bullet points nailed it.

Yesterday was not the only miserable example of Pozzo's failings but it was painful in the extreme because yet again " lessons... continued page 94

Amazing that some people were taking the Huddersfield game as anything other than the absolute bare minimum expectation. The games either side are far more of a guide as to where we are as a team and how good Bilic is as a manager. Saying but oh we’re still 4th is a huge red herring, after half the season we’re literally just one solitary win better than the team in 12th.

When the break arrived for the WC I thought "great" some time to get some players out of the treatment room but since then we have lost Choudhury and Louza and possibly Pedro . Injuries happen and there is not much that can be done about that but we have woeful fullbacks and that is something the club could have addressed.

The club did exactly that in the summer by selling one of our two left backs and not replacing him. Then they replaced our only decent right back with a fella from Spain who can't run and after 5 months still isn't in a position to start games for us. It's the Pozzo way, Watford loves him more than he will know.

Completely agree, but Xisco, Ranieri, Hodgson, Edwards and Bilic have all failed to get any sort of fight out of this lot.

I honestly think GT would struggle.

It's unfortunate that the injuries have taken some of our better players and those with some fight, but generally speaking we have a squad full of duds or bottlers.

Bayat has absolutely ruined the playing staff, god knows what Pozzo gets out of it.

Hopefully Ubenga and Costa mean the end of that disasterous relationship and we may be in a position to challenge in a year or two.

They're a great guide to where we are as a team with no midfield, you're right, well done.

    Also we're 4 points ahead of 12th, not 3.

Of course Giaretta is still around .

What role does he have ?

Will he go running to Daddy Pozzo again like a little child does to their mummy when things don’t go their way ..

Good post, but I don’t agree the league is full of teams like Millwall. I think they have stood out above all the other ‘lesser’ teams we have played this year because they knew the way to beat us and did it easily twice. All credit to them. The reason we are still 4th is that other similar teams have not done the same.

Millwall fan here. We are looking good this year. We have a Premiership player in Zian Flemming who will be bought next year. Came through Ajax academy but dropped out due to a knee injury. Was linked with a lot of clubs last year for £7.5million.

We've also been lucky with Danny McNamara & Billy Mitchell coming through as youth players.

Mitchell covers every inch of grass, and puts in 100% for the shirt. A decent Championship midfielder. He's a lot better than opposition fans realise though. One of the first names on the teamsheet for me.

Danny McNamara I can see playing in the Premiership one day.

Rest of our team are typical Championship players who are being well drilled by Rowett.

Zian Flemming takes us to the next level though. Jed Wallace was good for us, Zian has so much more impact on our all round game though with a much better output.

We've all seen Championship football enough to know all it takes is to have one stand out player to elevate a team up the table, Zian is that player for us. We will be around playoffs this season. Lowest we will finish will be 8th I feel.

Yesterday's game looked like one side really enjoyed Christmas, while the other team prepared for the football game. I was surprised at just how bad Watford played. So many bad passes which we seemed to intercept with ease.

The positive is, you can't play that bad again. Kienan Davis is a good striker at this level, and really caused us problems in parts of the game yesterday. Got a lot of great attributes. Not much to say about the rest of the team as they didn't look interested at all.

£5m we paid. We could got him for €850,000, but our super agent loves a good commission.

    Kalu £2m
    Manaj £3m
    Bayo £5m

Manga cannot do any worse or can he?

We seem to start badly in every game - just depends if the other team score or not which of course you did after a number of other efforts .

Our record generally after going behind is woeful and has been for years .

Then Pedro went off and our left back got himself sent off so really it was easy for you from then on.

As you say we weren’t prepared at all .

No leader to help us get back in the game and as you suggest no real desire or idea either .

Huddersfield beat Preston away yesterday. Anybody can beat anybody. I thought we were very good at Huddersfield. Yesterday was as bad as it could possibly be

Try watching Watford for the past four years in games we are expected to win/play well in and constantly turn out performances like yesterday. It's nothing new to us as fans'. Been there, seen it done it should be a t-shirt in the club shop. I will say your team was very good yesterday and I can see you cracking the top six or at least threatening it. If we don't make the top six do us a favor and make sure Luton stay out of it.

That isn’t the point though, fact is they are bottom of the league, how much can you learn from beating factually the worst team in the league? We were in the premier league last season with £100m+ budget, the expectation for us would be to beat the bottom placed championship team, and we did, but it told us absolutely nothing in the process. The games either side of that against marginally better teams are far more telling.

This type of argument is a bit pointless.

Let's see where we are at the end of the season. If we go up, you can say 'I told you so' to all the naysayers.

If not, we can all rub your nose in it.

At worst, positionally we’ll be in the top 44 clubs in the country. I’d call that a success for the owner. Irrespective of whether it means we go bust because we didn’t get promoted.

Whilst you're at it - can you provide some evidence that Emma Hayes nickname is 'The Beast'? Because you have made that claim elsewhere I see but there's literally nothing out there to back it up. Why must you lie about things that are easy to check?

£5m is a lot for a position we didn't urgently need strengthening in (well, I say urgently, of course I meant having to wait months for him to arrive!), but he was a promising young Nigerian international, under a mil was never going to get him lol
