Awful - we are the Liz Truss of the Championship. Relegate us now and save us the pain of the next couple of years of managed decline.
Reg has gone dotty bonks! A usually sane and erudite man driven to insanity by a group of overly paid, underperforming young men ( ish!) who flounced around like Charles Hawtry in a Carry On film.
Why did I think it was in any way worth going to this? Most predictable outcome ever. At least I saw a few mates. The football had no comfort to offer me at all.
I think that's the worst first half performance I've seen in my 30+ years. I've seen bad performances but often we've been clear underdogs in the build up. That was spineless. Can anyone think of one that is a contender for being worse? Only reason second half didn't appear so bad was because Millwall didn't have to put any effort in.
Ironically, this was not the same type of baffling, limp, do nothing performance of the type we saw at Blackburn and against Swansea. The players tried to play with a bit of speed and purpose - even Sarr looked up for it. Unfortunately they have no backbone and were totally physically overwhelmed and outfought by a very much less than brilliant Millwall. And of course the central defence was terrible. I can see nothing other than another defeat on Sunday, because L*t*n will sure as hell be up for it and will lay into us from the first whistle and we will have no answer. The best we can hope for is probably some niggly fouls from the likes of Pedro and maybe a red card or two.
Our only hope is to plough up the pitch like they did when we played them at the Toilet and fluke 0-0.
I was looking forward to playing the scummers but I’m not going to go. Can’t think of anything worse than that lot giving us a battering and gloating in our own stadium.
I haven't been to a WFC game since Brighton away in 2020 before the Pandemic! I have zero intention of going again until these clowns have left the club!
Luckily I missed this one But not at all shocked by the result. Didn't really expect anything apart from maybe a lucky draw. Not looking forward to Sunday one little bit.
That may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back for me, tonight. Going to be some serious consideration as to whether I return to a game under this ownership. There no longer seems to be any sense of sadness or joy in any result for me. When we lose, it’s expected. When we win, it’s a pleasant surprise. When we turn in a performance to be proud of, it’s a f**king miracle. Whatever division we play in, all I ask for is a team that plays for the shirt. There is categorically no danger of that happening any time soon.
Clowns give pleasure to simple folk and children. This lot are Vampires. Not urbane sophisticated Christopher Lee or sexy, buxom Ingrid Pitt but Superghoulish Mr Barlow out of Salem's Lot. Effing scary and difficult to send back to Hell.
Sadly @RS2 has blocked me (probably because of posts like this about him), so could someone else please do the honours of reminding him of this post he made the other week after the Blackpool game?!?! https://wfcforums.com/index.php?thr...osers-1-08-10-2022.59734/page-12#post-3182176
Correct. Would rather watch Jermaine Darlington, Paul Mayo, Neil Cox and Sean Dyche in our defence than the sh*t we've currently got there, even now!!
We would lose right now to any national league south team who were up for a bit of a scrap. There is no point having technically good players like Pedro or Sarr if you can't win 50 50 battles or aerial duels anywhere on the pitch. If you have 5th and 6th choice CBs playing and if you play with the sort of fear and poor spirit we show when we have literally any sort of setback. This was the same Watford that went to wembley and capitulated in a cup final. Not any chance we get even a point v Luton.
Decided after that performance that I watched tonight that it might be the right time to start going to watch my local team Wingate and Finchley. Unfortunately they are away at Canvey Island this weekend. Does anyone know where that is. Sounds like a place to send criminals and probably a good place to send our players as at the moment they are getting away with murder.
I confess I don't think I have the stomach for it. We can see it now. If everyone stayed away that would be a powerful message but I suspect some of the dozy little twerps in our fan base will fancy a bit of banter. They'll then come face to face with the opposing fans and have a very unpleasant experience.
That was absolutely dreadful. Play like that against those lot on Sunday (as they’re a better version of Millwall) and we’ll get deservedly pumped The atmosphere on Sunday will be interesting, lots of “we want Pozzo out” and “Gino you’re a c***” chants at half time…
Thanks for thinking of me BWO followers, Just on the tube back home from the game. I’m a smidge disheartened after that performance I must admit. X
It won't be. It'll be middle class muppets clapping like seals and singing 'here's to you Pozzo family'. Idiots.
The fact that I’ve experienced a sense of carelessness and am completely numb after tonight shows where we are as a club. Not surprised at all.
They lost meekly, or worse. 0-3 is embarrassing when you consider the financial resources of Watford compared to Millwall. Too many of our players are under performing. It's all well and good winning 4-0 at Stoke and beating Norwich, but not much good following up these good results by snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against Swansea and the embarrassing defeats at Blackpool and Millwall.
Yep, another good result against Norwich followed by a total shambles against a mid table team with an admittedly excellent home record. There's still no excuse for losing 3-0 against a club with limited resources. The worrying thing is that the next game is against the team with the best away form in the division, and we all know how painful it is to lose to L#ton.
On a more positive note the Supporters Trust have been scrutinizing the club's finances. This involved asking Scott Duxbury about the club's finances. Scott Duxbury has told them the club's finances are fine. It's such a huge relief to know that the Supporters Trust have really got to the bottom of this and that Scott Duxbury, a man of truth with such remarkable honesty and integrity that his word can never be doubted has confirmed the finances are ok. #feelingblessed #happyhornet #nothingtoseehere #duxburyvoiceoftruth #100%accountability #fanpower
The pandemic started in 2019. Covid was spreading largely undetected through the population of the UK at the time of the Brighton game.
Piddly little league! Strongest squad in Championship history! Here’s to you Pozzo family! And the podcasters! And the clowns who’ll continue singing praise at the temple of Gino. Phuck off.
