No problem. I’ve also had no issue with anything you’ve said.

I like to think I’m the softer-side of the BW/Pozzo Out etc etc side of things but some would disagree I’m sure!

But those days of a 'fan' 'running' the local football club are long gone. It's an entertainment business that operates in the multi-million world of sport. Even at the lowest professional tiers.

You are not a Watford fan, just out agitate people
Unlike you, l do admit to the my posts on this site. I am not interested in denying anything.
You have never been happy with any comments where the member didn't agree with you.
Does all this matter, not at all.
As l have said before, we are just expressing our views, our frustration and our anger at a very poorly run club.
How is the team you support run?
This site is a good one, but in the grand scheme of things, most posts are forgotten on here.
    It really doesn't matter.

He sacked one of the worst managers in our history. Why are people up in arms about that?

You keep going down this path of saying I’m not a Watford fan and that I deny things I’ve said.

I’ve debunked this a number of times with you and it’s pretty clear you’re holding up a mirror to your own behaviour when you say it.

Lastly, not one part of your reply addresses the points I put to you so I can only assume you agree with the assessment.

Bonser wasn't terrible for a level 3 club....but he had no idea what to do once we went up to level 2 and just tried to get by via the same methods he'd used at lower levels. Once we went down to level 3 again, he did get progressively worse as an owner.

I think people forget the bad times when looking at the current mess. I give you a lot of the 90's. A few owners including Petchey, one or two academy graduates made the first team but were pretty poor, a horrible ground, many very uninspiring managers, players, much like today, who probably couldn't care less as, much like today, it was their job. Don't kid yourself that it was much better back then, in fact I would say it was worse. Football as a whole has changed, the days of GT are very sadly gone. Not sure anything you mentioned would have held much water when kids who supported bigger teams took the pi55
Don't get me wrong I don't like what our club is doing currently but I like football a whole lot less than I used to mostly to do with the money in the game and what it's made it in to. I wish the European Super League would start and we could go back to the way it was

I enjoyed the 90s and went home and away (admittedly a few very poor seasons). Probably a function of my being younger and more enthusiastic in general than the state of the club I suppose.

We had to wait and be patient but the good times came eventually!

Hard to believe our record unbeaten run came in what was our worse season league position wise for decades .

    Typical Watford !

This is the one issue that I simply can't get my head around that a larger majority don't seem to be concerned about.
This isn't just a one off, the investigstion is looking into multiple cases of money laundering and various other deeds. There are witness statements and complaints aplenty for there to be enough smoke to think there could be a fire.
Why would we even get close to him, let alone expose ourself through some of the deals. The Bayo transfer as a recent and staggering example - who was the chairman of the selling club, why our favourite Agents brother.

But this isn't the first time, its cray to think that our owners had no clue about the forged bank statement. I suspect it was just done in a way that they could plead ignorance.
Again you'd surely want nothing to do with this and would do your best to distance yourself - yet all it took was a guy on twitter to do some companies house searches to find a web of links from the Bank Statement forger to yep, you guessed it our favourite Agent again.

All of this smells rotten, and when the truth outs, and I feel it will (dont want it to) we could be in for a whole world of hurt. And a nice shiny stadium and better club shop will mean f*ck all if we're relegated down the leagues

I started following this club from the early 80s. These are, overall, probably the best times I've known since them 80s days.

In between them time periods, the notion of getting promoted to the top league seemed like a long shot, relegation to the third tier happened and could never be ruled out with what we were able to afford.

Yes the current establishment have made mistakes with signings, but so have other clubs. I doubt you'll find another club forum who is complaint-free on player acquisitions, and manager appointments and tactics. All part and parcel of a football forum's existence.

The regular sacking of managers isn't ideal but interestingly with every media piece calling us out as a joke, there's another saying whilst its not popular with some fans its a model that has mostly worked for us.

A change of ownership, unless they're rich and puts us on another level, is a risky move that could put us in them 'in between' years above. I enjoyed them times less than the current times tbh and don't wish to go back. Some might want the owners gone regardless but not me. Some say we have lost our identity with the Pozzos in charge. I don't believe that. Times change. Football has changed.

Pozzos in (until BIG money owners start sniffing).

This chap has turned from forum laughing stock to forum sage. Remarkable.

You are quite right overall. I differ in that I thoroughly enjoyed the 90s years, more so than these successful years, but I am under no illusions that was because I was younger, more handsome and everything about the football experience was just better back then.

But let's be very clear, a return to that level of mediocrity in the current football environment would be utterly unbearable.

I guess Im just a pay off the externsl debt, sack Scott and Giaretta, stop having the sporting director monitoring training so insanely, stop using Mogi, bring in more latin americans and 0 Belgian leaguers, unite behind Bilic and back him and the squad for promotion kind of guy.

How can you say our identity hasn’t changed. We have moved from well intentioned respected family club to a seedy, shady, dishonest organisation where one of our key stakeholders is being investigated for money laundering and our manager hiring and firing policy has made us a laughing stock?

How come the Petchey era gets saddled with 'horrible ground?' He built 3 new stands didn't he? Massive improvements on the 80s stadium.

The new lot throw up a scaffolding with some temporary seats and people talk like we haven't still got one of the absolute worst stadiums in the top 2 divisions.

The decision is difficult for Baby Pozzo especially under Papa Pozzo hands on from a distance criteria from now on.
Gino wants Promotion, we needed better players, but we are broke, totally potless. Debts alledged to be touching £180m.
So how does he arrest the slide, when he is looking over his shoulder to see the administrators lining up at his door?
We will not get Promoted, no chance. If, as many appear to feel on here, we are in bed with a money laundering outfit and have falsified documents and large debt, then no amount of toilet paper will halt what will happen.
It's been boring as hell on the pitch, but we can look forward to more entertainment off the pitch.
We started the season thinking of promotion, but relegation, points deduction and administration could be what we end up with..

Where do you get the idea Giampaolo Pozzo is hands on (even from a distance)?

Not the case, as far as anyone ITK I’ve spoken to reckons. Absolutely no substance to this idea at all.

The Vicarage Road Stand was built (mostly financed by the sale of Bruce Dyer in 1994) following the end of the 1992-93 season and first used in April 1995 . The Rookery Stand was built during the 1994-95 season and mostly paid for through the sale of Paul Furlong in 1994, but there was also a contribution by the Football Trust. I am puzzled about the third new stand which you suggest that Jack Petchey built. Were you mistakenly including the Graham Taylor (formerly Rous) Stand, which was opened in 1986 during the first Graham Taylor/Elton John era?

Yeah. I thought it was still being built in the 90s.
