What do you mean by "rapidly"? Because as clueless as we were, we're not going to get relegated this season.
Poor result. Hoped we would win. 3 at the back don't work for us it would seem. We aren't Chelsea/Tottenham. Edwards will lose his job if this carries on much longer.
Dreadful first half. Slight improvement in the second, sustained pressure on them but we just don't look very threatening at all. Slow and sideways. No creativity in the middle of the pitch. Still plenty of time to go. We know first hand you can almost play sh1te for half a season like we did last time and still go up if you get your act together and go on a run, but the signs aren't great so far. No idea what happened with that Kabasele's goal, I hope to fcuk Davis was offside, because if they gave that against Kaba, that is genuinely the worst offside call I've ever seen in my life.
I still don't see what type of playing style Edwards is trying to implement here. We look clueless at times. Players need to share in that too but it's grim watching.
We continually start each game so slowly A backline which is past it. No midfield at all Strikers who are not goalscorers. I am not sure Edwards will last until the end of the International break is over. Reports of trains ground unrest and ad of tonight players arguing with the fans. Not good signs at all
This is what happens when you fail to build a squad and just buy whatever is provided to you by an agent. Absolutely zilch technique and ball retention in the squad outside of Davis & Pedro otherwise it’s at best a run and hope for the best approach. So so so so ******* fed up. Was really looking forward to Saturday as second game of the season for myself… now I know it’s going to be a pure **** show again. Pozzo’s a ****.
I might pay for another game when we win a few games back to back but for now my cash stays firmly with me! I'm not even sure where to pinpoint the blame after that but I do feel we miss quality in the center of the pitch. Someone a bit like Hughes, who can get a foot on the ball and pick important final balls with vision. And yes we lack leaders and a settled defense.
Last season was awful but I’m actually finding this season worse. I’ve totally lost interest lately and turned off the stream even before we were one down.
And Davis, the only bright spark tonight with some decent huffing and puffing is a striker that seems to offer absolutely zero goal threat. We are f*cked
Interesting quotes coming out that Bachmann told some of the angry fans' at FT "It's only been nine games... keep the faith". If he did say that, then he needs to look at how the squad is overall. He has saved us four points this season at a minimum.
Last season was way more enjoyable than this one so far. And that's saying something. At least last season we had some enjoyable performances like the opening day, Everton win or Manchester United win and some more I can't remember.
King COG on the DNSYE space just ended with "say what you like about this team, I don't think they're going down" Even I didn't think they'd be this broken 9 games in
You know it’s a bad performance when the local paper describes it as such. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...limp-lethargic-display-sees-beaten-blackburn/
Bachmann also told the Austrian press this week that we’re basically the Championship Man City. Utterly clueless.
Matters little but we also beat Villa, Southampton and Norwich away. Small moments of joy in a totally disaster of a season. You have to wonder if this one is going to be any different.
His sacking always made the least sense to me out of all the Pozzo sackings. He didn't seem to do that great at Huesca though.
I didn't even enjoy our wins this season. We're playing some really bad football. Last season, I loved the way we played in that short good run under Ranieri. Even the loses didn't seem that bad. This is just so so poor so far.
To be honest we should be more concerned with HMS sinking into League One than HMSPTL. But quite frankly, I don’t much care anymore.
Say Pedro kicks up a fuss in Jan and wants to leave? Say Sarr has a blinding World Cup and is gone in Jan too. Would you still feel as confident about us not being in a relegation battle?
This is a serious part of the problem, and one of the things that by any normal club's metric it should really be rather a concern is already being highlighted by said local paper:
You can see in the replay that the linesman put his flag up for Davis - it went straight up the second it touched his head and before it reached Kaba. On the first angle they showed for the replay I still thought Davis seemed onside, but I'd like to see it again to be sure - they kept replaying it from a different angle where it seemed more difficult to see.
We play like we did today we will be in a relegation battle come the new year. We almost went down when Boothroyd saved our season - the squad we have now is better than that one, but it's hard to find any reason why they would even put in half the effort.
