But TDB still hasn’t broken through here, wasn’t in the first two squads even when fit and may not be capable at this level after these concurrent injuries. Really not sure we should be having any future expectations of him now. Far more likely he gets fit, can’t get into a settled squad and heads out again in January to find game time.
Seems as though he was injured before the WBA game. Maybe even before the SU game and the club were staying quiet until they had a proper assessment.
C0nfirmed season loan https://www.watfordfc.com/news/official-davis-signs-for-the-hornets https://twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1558377834070114304
YouTube has raised my excitement levels for this, he looks like the most complete striker in the world.
Obligation if promoted apparently. Not sure why the club wouldn't say that though. I'm assuming Villa's asking price would have been a lot for us to pay had we not been promoted this season.
Looks to be a decent week for the recruitment team. Davis and Pedro should link up well, Davis is a very skilful player, but built more like Deeney
Bit of rough and tumble and energy, plus a bit of skills. Davis seems perfect for the Championship. And for REs style. All good.
Looks to be a decent signing, though isn’t gonna be prolific. A couple more signings needed , but signs are a bit more encouraging now that a squad capable of challenging is forming . What they do if Sarr leaves will be key as well as he’s that bit if magic dust that we need . I did have my doubts but the ownership have a good record of delivering in terms of decent championship squads .
An exciting signing. Can’t see anything about an option or obligation from what I’ve read, but perhaps I haven’t read enough. Believe Villa got him to sign a 2 year extension prior to this which obviously gives them some security.
Ignore me - hadn’t read the Wobby yet. No issues with the obligation based on promotion as he looks like he’d be a real handful for a lot of defenders, regardless of league!
Good signing. Well done to the club for actually being proactive and sorting this before Dennis has even officially left! That’s the kind of forward planning we all ask for.
I don’t think we can rule out him becoming prolific - he has age on his side and has rarely ever been first choice. From many of the reports from Villa and Forest fans - it seems an increased goal tally and fitness are what’s missing to date. But there’s no reason to say those 2 things don’t improve in the right environment. Let’s hope that’s here.
Pleased that it is a loan. While he looks great in the Championship, evidently Forest don't think he's PL level (or Zinc) to make it permanent.
Nooooooooooooooo! I didn’t know. I looked at Coventry’s team the other day and thought it was weird has hadn’t played. I know Burnley have been chasing him all window, so just assumed his head wasn’t in the right place.
Thought it might be back to 3-5-2 if we're minus Sarr. Davis and Pedro up front. Or Davis and Bayo??? Sarr as RWB or striker doesn't appeal.
Looking forward to seeing him smash one in and celebrate in front of the Birmingham fans. Watching The Blues now and in all honesty they look nothing short of woeful.
Hopefully will get worn out chasing the game and our game being the evening before and in cooler weather could be an advantage. Could Troy start a game 3 days after playing in this heat ? He’s doing his best to conserve his energy
I noticed Pedro winning quite a few headers in the opening games. To absolutely no effect, because no other player was near him. I hope that Davis can link up with him better than our other options.
There has to be some sort of catch with this one. I've just watched his highlights and he appears to have Shittu like strength, with pace and skill to go with it
Hard not to be encouraged by the Forest fans input, even if the little I had seen of him hadn't impressed me. It's YouTube, but I was surprised by some of the clips of his close control and dribbling skills as well.
