Yep, the fact that we are still negotiating is not a good sign. At least we still have Manaj and Bayo.
I've just watched a YouTube highlights video and have now changed my mind. He's amazing and I love him.
I especially like how he can take a touch, and then take a second touch. I forgot you were allowed to do that.
I am excited about this one. Was phenomenal for me on FM. I’m still going to worry about WBA nabbing him right up until I see the announcement tweet (and maybe even a week after, given what happened with Gueye).
I’m considering starting an anarchist conceptual art collective and calling it Pervis Estupinan in a nod to the Luther Blisset collective in Milan. Only trouble is I don’t know anything about conceptual art , but it hasn’t seemed to have done Tracy Emin any harm
To be honest you will make millions if you just say you are a conceptual artist. Coming up with the art is later on.
He was at your game tonight: https://twitter.com/CZazzera/status/1558175511033122816?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
After watching tonight it’s obvious that JP would be so much more effective in a two, was quiet tonight. Actually looking forward to this signing!
Gino spending money on a striker that doesn't reek of Bayat? He's doing it to make me look like a ****.
Been thinking about Davis, and the rest of the squad really, sure, I doubt he'll be overly prolific, and I doubt we have a 20 goal forward in the team, but do we even need THAT many goals? I think we only scored 63 last time, and our defence is currently looking pretty damn solid again...
Knowing us we’re signing the bloke next to him on a 5yr so Kalu has someone his own age to play with.
Exciting signing I think. Good age, coming off the back of a really strong season at Forest. Admittedly I didn’t watch much of Forest last year, but the odd game I did catch, he played well. Encouraging that Forest fans are disappointed they didn’t make his move permanent. If we’ve signed him permanently, I’d say it’s exactly the sort of player we should be spending money on, and fits the mold of making us younger, stronger, and faster.
Fantastic signing. If we sign one of Clarke/Hause/Greaves along with either Drameh/Norton-Cuffy then fair play to Gino. Still think we are a quality CM short. Would love for us to still pull off a marquee signing like Nahitan Nandez (highly doubtful) but he hasn’t moved on yet and Cagliari play their first game tomorrow in Serie B. Like all of us, I just feel we are lacking that spark in CM. Louza, Choudhury and … Get that right and teams will be even more fearful of playing us.
Considering we've got Louza to come back in the not too distant future, and TDB to come back in a few months (OK, probably after the World Cup break), rightly or wrongly I don't think CM will be treated as a priority. Right now we have no left-footed centre-back nor a proper RWB, so I think we'll go for those areas first?
Agree entirely, those are the two positions that need sorting out ASAP. Hopefully within the next week. Just feel with TDB out for 3months, at the earliest, he’s not playing a competitive match until December. Clevs literally admitted he’s already struggling with the aches and pains of the league, plus his age. Gosling looked off it tonight. Choudhary, Kayembe have shown they are more than capable in this league. Throw Louza into that and that’s a decent midfield three. However it’s seriously lacking a creative/goal scoring CM. Right now, we’re one serious injury away from our quality in CM to drop tremendously. That’s why for me, I just feel we must, absolutely must, sign another CM after we’ve got the RWB and LCB through the door.
TDB is out for 2-3 months, so in theory he could be back playing before the World Cup break in mid-November, but it's unlikely. No serious injury is ever 'good' news, but I wonder if the timing actually suits us a bit as it'll give us a chance to get him up and ready for the resumption of the league in mid-December? I presume you've included Louza as a creative and goalscoring midfielder? Had a decent track record in Ligue 1, I don't see why he can't pop up with his fair share of goals and assists in the Championship (TDB to a lesser extent, although until both come back, the midfield is combative if not very creative)
With our medical team, TDB won’t kick a ball until December. Louza is definitely creative in the sense of helping us get up the pitch quicker and no doubt he will chip in with the odd goal here and there. Can’t see him scoring more than 6-7 goals. So I hope we sign someone a little bit more creative who has a real goal threat about. A CM that’s going to score 10-12 goals or get 12-15 assists. When the ball drops to the edge of the box, you hope he shoots or you just know he’s going to find a killer ball. That type of CM. I know O’Hare isn’t prolific whatsoever, but his creativity in and around the box, with Davis, Pedro and hopefully Sarr to aim for I could see him racking up the assists, as well as bagging a decent amount of goals for himself. If Louza gets injured again, long term, we’re screwed. We’ve done well without him, but I can’t wait to have him back. If we’re solely relying on him for creativity, won’t be long before teams know to mark him out of the game and we’re done. Dream window for me now is Drameh, Norton-Cuffy for RWB Greaves, Clarke or Hause for LCB O’Hare for CM/CAM
O' Hare has always looked very energetic whenever I've seen him. Where is Northaw and Cuffley? The player not the tennis club!
If we mean Callum O’Hare who is a very good player the bad news is he is injured long term I believe?
Has Davis played any minutes in pre-season? It doesn't look like it. I wouldn't expect him to start for a couple of games.
Yep, very pleased this has gone through. Club stated only on a season loan. No mention of an option to buy. WO stating it will be made permanent if Watford gain promotion. Watford sign striker Keinan Davis on loan from Aston Villa | Watford Observer
