Or maybe the two of them are hatching a master plan to take over the world's supply of uranium and sell arms to the Russians. You're right, there's plenty of scope for Gino to be stealing money from his own club to feather his nest and take part in lots of fraudulent activity. I'd suggest an anonymous call to the police right now.
What a daft analogy. Strange, that despite a huge weight of evidence you won’t even entertain the possibility. I mean it’s not like nobody has ever committed fraud before is it.
A "huge weight of evidence" that Gino is personally benefitting by syphoning off money from the club to Bayat ????
No, sorry, I have better things to do with my time. Plus I have a quarterly Board Meeting in 4 hrs that I need to prep for so, apologies, but my posts will be thin on the ground between now and then.
Listen, I agreed with you about co-op crisps on another thread. That's our one agreement used up for this week I'm afraid.
I'm genuinely looking forward to next year, Mogi is in court isn't he? It'll be interesting to see what secrets are revealed.
I’ll listen for the FTRE podcast live from the courtroom where we hear it’s definitely not as bad as it sounds.
To be fair in their newest podcast Mike Parkin discusses Bayat (negatively and) extensively. He also put a decent balanced thread out on Twitter highlighting his current reservations with the club. Don’t know if/why the lightbulb has suddenly turned on and it may be too late for some but still appreciated.
'Perfectly normal practice, doesn't everyone indulge in the occasional back-to-back conversion?' said no-one ever.
It had got to the point where FTRE were himiliating themselves on a regular basis with their cap doffing, kowtowing and general sycophancy. But yes, better late than never if thats the case (i dont listen to their pod these days). Now Ive ordered the manscaping devices they were touting to watford fans, my life is complete.
Apparently FTRE has been taken off The Athletic’s list of ‘club podcasts’ - I wonder if that affiliation is still going?
Hadn’t noticed that but a quick check just now and their last podcast with the Athletic trail at the start was the one after the Chelsea loss on the last day of last season.
It could be that the Athletic just don’t want to fund it any more now that we are out of the PL. They don’t seem to have too many club specific podcasts now anyway (only Big 6 and Leeds and Newcastle) - I believe they had more so they may have just cut back in general.
I imagine Leventhal may step back from it then if he has articles to write and can’t likely promote/verbalise them on the podcast. They did still fund it when we were last in the Championship but I guess lockdown may have contributed largely to that decision.
Busy few days for our favourite agent https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2022/lille-in-talks-to-sign-nantes-midfielder-ludovic-blas/ https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2022/hwang-ui-jo-nears-wolves-drifts-from-nantes/ https://lookcharms.com/a-definitively-forgotten-transfer/
Particularly like this part... 'However, the player is increasingly against a move to Les Canaris this summer, as a number of intermediaries, including the usual suspect of Mogi Bayat, have been attempting to intervene in any possible deal, as initially reported by Foot Mercato.'
