Considering they do have a responsibility to help both teams, I'd understand that swap deal, it doesn't mean it'd be any less annoying losing one of the only defenders this season who's not been totally useless
I wouldn’t understand it. It doesn’t make Watford any stronger, so there’s no benefit to either team in doing it.
If it were not for his constant injury problems I think we would be foolish to get rid of him, but because he is so injury prone I think possibly we should cut our losses and sadly let him go.
Kasimpasa (yep, never heard of them either) want to sign Kabasele Kasımpaşa, Watford'tan Christian Kabasele'yi Transfer Etmek İstiyor - Ajansspor.com
What was up with his running today?! He seemed relatively quick when he returned a few months ago, but today he looked like he was practically jogging on the spot - positioned bolt upright, limbs flailing away, hardly getting anywhere. Was very odd.
Seems an odd ******* rumour to make up on the spot doesn't it? Maybe wishful thinking on my part mind you!
Next care taker manager than some time next season.. https://twitter.com/WD18Fans/status/1531595647647993856
Fingers crossed this is a goodbye video from Kaba. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CgfAJItDsp4/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
That really is what it looks like. No qualms here (should we get in someone else) but again a little odd that he played 90 mins against Southampton.
Watching him play those 90 minutes against Southampton is exactly why I'm hoping he's off. Such a nice bloke but a simply terrible footballer.
Let's hope so. Nice guy, and probably good to have in the changing room. But, he's not very good, he's the wrong side of 30, he's injury prone, and he takes up a non-HG space.
We definitely need to get 2/3 defensive players in though. Can we trust WTE and Cathcart if this is true ?
The title of the vid says "6 years and counting" - the "and counting" part indicates the period of time is still ongoing and thus does not suggest it's about to suddenly end.
He’s going nowhere. Someone said directly to him whether he was leaving and he said “no”. I don’t have a problem with Kabs. He’s improved as a CB over the years.
Bless him. Always game on social media and pitches in to all the community stuff, yet as soon as he posts a dewy-eyed clip montage to show his memories from his time here everyone queues up to wave him off and say good riddance.
Can't pass, has never been able to pass, will never be able to pass. Caught hopelessly out of position a few times as well. I'm delighted that we're probably going to have to watch Kabasele bring the ball out of defence this season, what better way to start your attacks?
Considering he was supposedly a forward his passing is fookin hopeless as is his defending in every way. The Southampton fella we're after wasn't in the squad today.
Dreadful player. The fact he has been here for over half a decade and has 2 more years to run is an utter disgrace.
I wonder if we're waiting to get a bit of cash in to finance a permanent deal for him? Kabasele is what he is, and he's been like that for a long time, but for all Stephens' supposed weaknesses, it'll be refreshing to see someone comfortable with the ball out on the right of the defence
As I said in shoutbox, my favourite Kaba moment today was in the second half when Kamara did all the hard work to chase back and reel in Johnson in quite a dangerous position and laid off a simple pass to Kaba. All he had to do was pick a simple pass but instead he shat the bed and blootered it straight back at Johnson and Kamara and it ricocheted to a Preston player.
Would have been nice if we didn’t have to wait. If we didn’t use our cash to furnish the Bayat brothers on the Bayo transfer we could act quicker. Or let’s be honest, if there is an associate to sort out the money is there instantly.
My favourite moment was in the second half where he wasn't being pressed, had about 5 touches of the ball, a simple pass inside to Kayembe was on but Kaba tried a 30 yard defence splitter and rolled it straight into the feet of a Preston player. There wasn't even a Watford player within 10 yards, I have no idea who he was aiming for! Can we make our favourite Kaba moments a weekly feature?
