Good question. So I’ll mainly drive up to the area with my wife and make a weekend of it, but go to the game on my own. So, I guess, best atmosphere? Best views?

Edit - May do a couple of train ones on my Todd and just enjoy a few drinks in the away pub and mingle amongst fellow hornets

West Brom away is a cracker if only for The Vine pub.

QPR will be difficult and the scum will sell out very quickly.
Millwall is a decent away trip. Not to bad if you live on the south coast as well. Always like Bristol City as an away game too

Extra question, there could be the odd time my wife might fancy a game, and also my 15 year old daughter. They’ve been to a few home games with me. What do you think the experience of females is like in the away end? They both feel 100% comfortable at home games. Any different away?

In all honesty you can't compare home to away. The whole experience can be quite daunting.

Yeah I thought this, been a while since I went to one, think my last was Brighton away when Sean Murray was in his purple patch - so maybe 8 years ago? That seemed fine. One before, I think, was the Boxing Day massacre at Fulham - crikey that must be something like 20 years ago??

Anyway, when you say daunting, do you mean more aggression, swearing, flares, etc? I’m assuming there wouldn’t be sexist comments aimed at our own fans??

Tbh every ground is different and on one day it can be fantastic the next not so. Choose your awayday wisely and it will be fine and then build from there. Not the scum though :D.
There can and usually is more banter going around, swearing most definitely. Others could give you their opinions but I believe Reading away could be a decent shout.

My wife watches Sheff Utd home and away and has never felt uncomfortable at football even when she has gone alone. Away atmospheres are generally much better. My 7 year old daughter has caught the football bug and has asked to go to an away game next season which I have no issue doing. The only place I won't take her is the filth but other than that I'd take her to any away game without being concerned.

Pretty much the same, my daughter is 23 now but she has been coming to away games for the last 10+ years. 99% of places are fine and no different to going with mates.
