Quite sad really, but at least she had that moment at Wimbledon in the Olympics.

Paul Jubb wins in RG qualies and plays Luca Nani next, the Italian who gave Norrie a close match in Rome.

    Katie Swann out.

    Miyazaki wins.

A ridiculous top half of the men's draw at RG.
ND and Rafa seeded to meet in the quarters.
Alcaraz in there too and Zverev.

No ranking points for players at Wimbledon this year.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/61401519

I guess they won't be too fussed by the news so long as the tournament goes ahead and players aren't boycotting it.

ATP and WTA shooting themselves in the foot.

    Good question.
Probably testament to the mess that tennis administration is in.
WTA,ATP,ITF all trying to control matters and no one making a very good job of it.

Jabeur out to Magda Linette, who's nobody's fool.
FAA struggles in five,Thiem can't buy a win.
    Dimitrov loses three games.
Played an NCL match at Paddington,a club I hadn't visited for thirty plus years I think.
Very well run, friendly and a delicious Thai veggie curry for lunch.
Middlesex clubs are, with the exception of Queen's Club, which is run by Old Etonian twerps, friendly, cosmopolitan venues which actually seem to enjoy competitive tennis!
    It'll never catch on!

Good day for our men .

Not so great for the ladies - Radacanu a set down.

    Both probably expected I guess.

Tsitsipas potentially surviving a big scare against Mussetti.

    Fighting back in 5 sets.

    Playing into tomorrow now.

Some very tough first rounds as ever.
Musetti is very talented but not used to five sets, especially after a thigh injury that kept him out of Rome. Tsitsi raised his level and destroyed him in the last set. You'd have to have a heart of stone not to have felt for him. Too late a start really,I looked at the schedule and there was no reason why they couldn't have started an hour or two earlier.
    Rafa late tonight v Moutet.

Simon defeats PCB and great to see a craftsman triumph, especially one with Wednesday legs!

Emotional too for Joe W T who played well against Ruud before his shoulder gave up on him. Touching scenes on CPC.

Shapo and Di Minaur out. Ruble in four v Kwon.

    Sabalenka looking wobbly but through.

Very able girl ER played, junior champ there last year.

    Sasinovic is a quality player.
ER will need another year I'd say to become fit enough for the demands of the tour.

Moutet showing his stuff now v Rafa on CPC.

Zverev saves a mp to beat Joan, Norrie in three.

    Diane Parry wins again.

Alcaraz in five v Ramos Vinolas.

    Evans out to Ymer.
Tsitsi has to fight again against the qualifier.
Good to see Goffin playing well again.
Hats off to Simona Halep for talking to 'The Cube' on Eurosport about the panic attack she experienced today in her loss to Zang or Wang, sorry too long on court!

Prize pillock of the week goes to Jelena Ostapenko. Her dress was quite the worst outfit I've ever seen on court.
She looked like Coco the Clown and Anne of Green Gables mixed up.
    Hideous!

Extraordinary goings on in the wacky world of tennis in the shires.
My kit allocation had not been delivered and it had been incorrectly assigned to the other shop of my linked retailer in WGC.

It now transpires this 'gentleman' is holding it hostage as he thinks I still have one of his demo Dunlop rackets. I returned this to the reception of a well known tennis centre in Welwyn Garden City over three months ago. I would have delivered it to the shop but as usual it was shut.

Numerous sporting goods companies do not deal with this man as he is,to put it politely, economical with his version of reality.

The man in question has been rude, dishonest to numerous members of many clubs in this area and they have visited him on the pretext of spending money!

Sue,Grabbit and Run are a phone call away!

Norrie in a bit of bother v the Russian KK.

Djokovic v Nadal still looking likely in the 1/4 finals.

Can anyone beat Iga Świątek in the ladies?

    Not looking likely regarding Iga.

Norrie out uglies Khachanov in the ugly shot stakes and Karen wins in four.

Vile shirt from Norrie but nothing will match Ostapenko's effort last night.

Korda had the right game plan but not good enough to execute and didn't have much luck v Alcatraz.

Russian Government has a pop at the LTA/Wimbledon here!

    Russian Embassy, UK
    @RussianEmbassy
    Russia government organization

As tennis player K.Khachanov beats strongest C.Norrie, while A.Sasnovich wins against glorified E.Raducanu at #RolandGarros, @Wimbledon ban motives become clear. Big congratulations to both players!

Badosa unwell and retires against Kudermentova, finally replicating her doubles form in the singles court.
    Medivet,Sinner,Ruble all through comfortably.
    Swiatek in straight.

Tsitsi very comfortable against Ymer, which he'll be glad of for some recovery time.

Lorenzo Sonego is lighting it up against Ruud at the moment. So vibrant,I love watching him play!

Top heavy side of the draw isn’t it !?

If Nadal , Zverev and Alcaraz get through along side Djokovic.

I think only 4 of the top 20 seeds in the ladies are left in now .

    To an extent.
Medivet is 2 in the world so has to be in the bottom half from ND. Alcatraz on the rise. Nadal due to his injuries is down at 5 so a 50/50 call where he lands.
Rafa maybe regretting wearing his Naaarch kit as he's a break down in the fourth, although 2-1 up against FAA.
The last qualifier Bernabe Zapata Miralles falls in 3 tough sets to TWB. Marathon tie break 13-11 in the first.

That's the best match I've seen Felix play, his forehand held it together well.
Odd that TN sat in the front row of the presidential tribune. You'd think he'd keep a low profile. Must have been awkward?

Khachanov gets plenty of luck v Alcatraz. Unfortunately for him it's all bad. One atrocious bounce to give Alcatraz break point in the second set.

Alcatraz is looking very comfortable and faces TWB now with ND v Rafa. ND must have enjoyed Rafa's struggle, perfect for him.

    Rune v Tsitsi maybe interesting.

There's been something up with Tsitsipas all tournament.
He was dreadful today but credit to Rune he fully deserved the win.
Ruud looking good for a final slot.

Sinner is developing a habit of retiring, probably not grown into his body yet.

Ruud looks the best is the bottom half, not sure Cilic can maintain that level but we'll see!
