I think the WTA have kept them but you maybe correct. No two bodies in the game ever seem to be in unison.

    I think it's time for a change.
Not sure the BBC budget can supply the chardonnay for SB in these hard times!

Excellent win for Murray v a top 5 player.

Should hand it over to Stacy Dooley. She can do everything apparently.

Size of those shoulders she should pack down in the front row. Dreadful sport womens tennis. Mens tennis dull until the last four or eight. Artistry has died a prolonged and now sudden death. Bish, bash, bosh. Repeat infinitum. Yawnnnnnnnn.

    Predictable.
A player who stays two metres behind the baseline when returning against a two times Wimbledon winner.
A player who has played the last seven weeks on clay and has had one match on grass this week against a twice Wimbledon winner who has been practicing on it for the last month and has played on it his entire life.
Having said that no seeded player will want Murray in the draw in the first three rounds at the All England.

    Not true.
There are still artists out there, just not as many but there have always been power players.
    Tilden,Budge,Kramer,Hoad,Ashe,Connors,Tanner,Ivanisevic, Sampras,Becker and so on.
Court, Navratilova, Sharapova, Davenport etc etc.
Barty was an artist, Kasatkina is, Kyrgios is,plenty of others too.

If fit and on form Murray would be a very dangerous non seeded player for some as you say

Missing the clay court season has probably done Murray some good whilst others have been pounding the red stuff.

    BTW is Federer fit now?

No Rafa or Rodger at Wimbledon - who will the crowd support as don't think Djokovic is that popular.

The artistry is in precious short supply. Start them with wooden rackets and let's see how many in the power game thrive. Players of the past had to manoeuvre opponents with accuracy rather than sheer power blasting it past some hapless opponent, or use delicacy of touch to sucker someone in at the baseline. Kyrgios is fun it has to be said. Barty is average. No wonder there are so many injuries short and long term. The human frame is no matter the conditioning given, designed to take such loads when the ball is hit by the racket head.

I barely watch tennis. It's beyond boring for the most part. I want to see genuine creativity and skills on the court. Not fitness freaks who can run the baseline all day retrieving it and then whacking it with immense force. Not to mention the sweet spot of the modern racket head is so much larger than ever before.

They did a test a few years back with Mark Phillipousis.
He served at the same speed with a wooden frame as a graphite/composite.
It's the strings that are the greatest advancement in power hitting, that and biomechanical knowledge and S&C.
The sweet spot is not immeasurably different, equipment is just better,as are modern cars, trains etc. You make not like it but you can't turn back time.
Would you make football return to a leather ball?
    Barty average?!
Major winner in tennis, singles and doubles and not Amazonian. Played cricket for Australia and will no doubt play golf to a very high level. A female CB Fry I'd say.
I'm biased as I'm a tennis player but I believe tennis is THE hardest game, mentally, tactically, technically and emotionally.

Rafa injured,Uncle Toni says he expects him to play.
No,RF still recovering. No hitting that I'm aware of.
I doubt it,ABN for most people I think. A shame for him but mainly self inflicted due to his lack of self awareness.

Murray into the Stuttgart final .

Plays Berrettini who has been out for a while I believe but obviously a very good grass court player .

Murray will win I would think.
MB has done well to return so fluently but Murray will neutralize his serve and find his backhand.
MB will need to be at 70% first serves I'd say, unless Murray runs out of gas/hip needs oiling!

The Italian wins in 3 sets - heard Murray had a MTO at the start of the 3rd.

Not sure if that affected him .

I definitely would. Football and other team sports have been affected the way systems are employed now. Less scope for individuality but tennis has become so sterile. I'd apply the same to golf much as I dislike the sport in the first place and cricket.

    Quite possibly!
He'll need an oil change before The Championships.
    Good for Matteo.
Hazelwood win 3-1 at St Albans in the Hot Rackets competition.

Murray out of Queens - probably a wise move to keep himself fully fit for Wimbledon.
    Tough draws for the Brits.

    Is that so?
Not sure he had a choice given his problems, Hobson's Choice I'd say.
Draper takes advantage of another player with little match play of late and his own injury woes.
Norrie lost to Dimi I presume?

Another ab injury, similar to ER.
As said before they are very awkward, depends on the severity of the strain I suppose.

Ruud maybe world number 5 but he's about 555 on that showing.
Absolutely no idea what he was trying to do and nor did he.
I bet Murray hopes he draws him in his section.

I wouldn't have picked Krajinovic to make the Queen's final but then he wouldn't have either I expect!

    Berrettini through.

    Medivet and Hubie in Halle.

    Can't find EP results.

Good comeback for him after a while out on a surface he enjoys.

Could he contend at Wimbledon again?

    Very definitely.
    Probably second favourite behind ND.
Two Dart finish last night for Hazelwood at Cumberland Club.
Mother Suzy and sister Phoebe of Harriet playing.
    Hazelwood won!
Boulter in the match at present against Pliskova but Pliskova playing well when down.

Dart and Draper win at DP,as does Norrie.
Peniston game suspended on serve in third.
Two remaining British men out in qualies.
Don't think any females remain either.
We normally have one who makes it through.

Dart out hit by the immensely likeable Kvitova.
Draper beats Peniston to play the serve volleying Maxim Cressey.
Tsitsi manages two consecutive wins on grass in Mallorca and RBA comprehensively beats Medivet.
Kyrgios retired in the previous round and must be a doubt for next week, likewise ER and AM.

None of the Brits drawn against seeded players in the first round at Wimbledon (hot balls!?)
