Adebayo has been injured and since he's been out L*t*n have looked far less likely to score goals. He is a handful for defenders, he worries them and it often takes two or three players to stop him which creates space and opportunites for his team mates. Not sure I'd want him though, after what happened with Gray?
For me, it was the moment he cupped his ears at us away at Newcastle; for a friend of mine it was his party antics during Covid; for many it was his inability to control a football; for others it was the size of his wages and the fee we paid for him; for some it was his attitude; for that lot up the road, it was seeing them gloat over 'agent Gray'. To be fair, there are people who will quote stats in his defence to show how good he really was. If that's the case it's a shame we couldn't sell him for a decent fee and had to loan him out to QPR. Buying a player from L*t*n is a bigger risk than buying from most other clubs. It worked out well with Springy but going after Adebayo so soon after the Gray saga is, in my opinion, just not worth it.
I don’t think Gray’s attitude (on the pitch) was a problem and the size of his wages and transfer fee were not his fault. Unfortunately he just wasn’t very good and the club was left in a dead end trying to get some value out of him because he couldn’t be sold for a decent fee.
Couple of tweets on social media saying we’re one of many clubs interested in Tom Lawrence on a free. Can’t see it personally. Only benefit is that he knows what the championship is all about and could provide some good experience. Again highly doubtful in my opinion.

True, we didn't sign Gray directly from Luton but even then the L*t*n connection (rightly or wrongly) was used against him.
I used to think Lawrence would develop into a really good player, but he seems to have stood still since that Lampard season when they made the play-offs. Maybe he’s one of those who could blossom in a better team. I don’t know anything about his poor attitude.
Players from Udinese have already been mentioned, one which wouldn’t surprise me is Mamadou Coulibaly. Currently on loan at Salernitana this season. Apparently his deal there is an obligation to buy with conditions. If Salernitana get relegated I wonder if those conditions are broken therefore he gets shipped here.

We got rid of about 10 or 11 players when we were relegated two seasons ago and didn't spend a penny on incomings during the summer. Gino Pozzo will not spend money in the Championship. Get ready for a lot of freebies and loans, obviously a few of those coming from our Italian friends. That's not necessarily a bad thing as long as the players fit what Edwards wants. But will that really happen? Doubt it.

There are some good freebies out there if we’re smart. Pozzos Championship thriftiness might actually be prudent on this occasion. I have 0 trust in us to be smart though.

How about Benteke from Palace? Edwards apparently likes a big, target man. Benteke does hold the ball up well, good in the air and gets on the end of crosses. I don't know his contractual position at Palace but it's unlikely he would fit Vieira's playing style. Whether Benteke would drop down to the Championship I've no idea?
