Talksport seemed to think he is staying but not happy about being unable to be allowed out on loan. Seems we enquired/expressed an interest a while ago according to AL. https://mobile.twitter.com/wfc_josh/status/1488232442360172545
Yeah, I mean there's no doubt we'll all watch and refresh this thread until 11pm despite no further words on this at all, then we'll never hear of it again. 'Twas ever thus.
https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/19886259.outgoings-expected-watford-transfer-deadline-day/ Very cold water poured on this by the Wobby although I find the strength of that refutation genuinely baffling. Also a bit odd given that Leventhal said we enquired earlier in the month. “Okay, got a response from a senior club source about Henderson. Said they "absolutely did not" enquire about Dean Henderson and said, "where could we put another keeper?" which you have to agree is a fair enough point. Perhaps if Bachmann had gone earlier, it would've been worth a punt, but not today.”
Except most of the noise now is that we absolutely have not attempted to sign him at all... hence my post.

Yes. He’s also confirmed that we have made an enquiry and that the obstacle is the fact that United are nervous about ending the season with Heaton as Number 2. But that it could get sorted quickly.
Who knows if it happens (it probably won’t) but The Wobby are very likely incorrect on this one as it’s been reported by two more reliable sources (The Athletic and Manchester Evening News) that an enquiry has been made.
Where would we put another keeper !?!?!?!?! Where would we put another fookin keeper !?!?!?!?!? In fooking goal to stop us getting relegated u absolute fooking morons !!!!!!!!! Beggars belief......
Samuel Luckhurst just said that United have blocked the move. Stand down everyone. We can return to our usual state of meltdown.
If that's a genuine quote then we're in more trouble than I thought. I thought Bachmann would develop but he's demonstrated he's not up to standard. Foster's injury record suggests he will more than likely miss games. We have a keeper coming, so there's a 6 month period where we could fix the position. And we're not going to take it?
Makes absolutely no sense given he is chasms above Bachmann in ability. It’s like a team trying to sign Sancho but because they have Sema saying “where could we put another winger”. And add the fact the club can’t shift other deadwood which won’t get in then squad so what is the concern with tinning dreadful Bachmann? Everything that comes out of the club is just nonsensical window after window, season after season. We are truly a laughing stock run by fools.
Hold on people, there is still time for the absolute deal/steal/sale of the effing century to drop into Gino’s lap…..
It's over people, Gino is at home with his feet up watching Traffic Cops. He's left Duxbury to deal with the pay offs for Rose, Nkoulou and Gosling.
He’s good and plays in a position we badly need strengthening in so not a chance this happens. If by some miracle we made a serious attempt to get Henderson in and United blocked it you can see why. We had a couple of promising keepers a few years back - Bachmann has gone backwards and Dahlberg can’t even get in Doncaster’s team. We have such a fantastic reputation for developing talent these days.
Even United fans seem to think they’re crazy not letting Henderson go and get games. No wonder the dressing room atmosphere there is criticised.
Bachmann was never anything more than a PL backup at Stoke. And Dahlberg we signed as a young punt. United have blocked the move because they want Henderson around not because of our record developing backup goalkeepers. The basis to criticise the club is not that Dahlberg’s development has scared off United but that we’ve come in too late for a player United have been resistant to letting go and there isn’t enough time to sort a replacement.
Yeah him or Bachmann might have made sense but if they don’t trust Heaton as Number 2 why would they trust one of this lot.
A couple of reporters tweeting that Henderson is unhappy that he’s been blocked. I suppose there is a slim hope that he can kick up enough of a fuss to make them let him come to us but it looks remarkably unlikely. Shame.
Even staying at Watford is a better idea than going to United at the moment if you are either of them I reckon. At least we arent United fans watching a giant of world football disappear up its own backside, far worse owners than ours too.
I'm not sure I want him if he's going to kick up a fuss to come here. Any other club yes, but here? You'd have to question his sanity.
