One day something will horribly go wrong for City against us. They will have two sent off, they will score own goals or give away penalties, or their keeper will go off injured after they've used all their subs. And we will win. This will happen. It might take 100 years.

    Or it might be tomorrow.

These stats are pretty meaningless but...Claudio Ranieri has faced Manchester City 9 times in his career - W8 D1 L0.

Agreed, I'm going to a gig that was rescheduled for Saturday instead. I couldn't even give my ticket away for free.

Nobody wants to watch their soulless club.

We've already won the moral battle. Who cares what happens on the pitch.

Kind of sums City up Pre-money.

They probably had the same record at most of the big teams.

Two hours into work today my shift for tomorrow changed. Finish in time to get to this tomorrow as I work in Watford. Snapped up one of the last tickets. Am I mad?

And as predicted, nearly all those poor, unfortunate, injured Citeh players are miraculously cured and will travel for the match....

I've never seen @Steve Leo Beleck 's avatar so much on a single thread. :D. They really should get a swear jar on there, they would make more money than most clubs in a season. Notice a Watford fan did post and he/she more or less called this forum a bunch of *****'s. Not sure if that was one off Moog's aliases - but each to their own I guess.

So it's like Bournemouth all over again. Play a weakened side vs Villa and go full strength against us. Nice one.

TBH it wasn't that weak v Villa.

Sterling, Marhez, Silva, Jesus, Rodri, Cancelo, Dias all played - the last 5 probably being their best players this season.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59397422

Just Pep complaining they had to put a couple of kids on the bench with Fodden and Grealish.

KDB and Walker were probably the main 2 missing.

Nobody likes City. But nobody has any real rivallry with them. Even their Manchester neighbours would rather they win the league than Liverpool. They are bit of a nothing club with oil money and 75% tourist/glory hunter fans.

    Peps a ****.

    Their fans are ****s.

Refs going to give them a free goal or give us a harsh red card, he's a **** too.

FFP shenanigans from their **** lawyers. And faux outrage from their faux **** fans.

**** off city. I'm sad the super league failed because you're not really wanted here. ****s.

Fodens eyebrows can **** off too.

I think we must have tapped into the angry children's section. All confected rage about posts that a good many don't actually seem to have read. And, as you say, all the naughty words that their mummies have told them not to use.
And then the simpering 'watford fan' trying to suck up to them, followed by equally cloying returns. 'ElzHornz' needs a good slap.
Not only do they want to win everything they want to grind us into the dust and they want everybody to love them'
And they blame the media for being misunderstood by everybody.
Guilt feelings? Methinks they do protest too much.

They’re a lot like us with money, we’re an unfashionable club that nobody really likes who doesn’t support us, that will never ever change, it’s just the way it is.

No matter how much money they throw at things, no matter how many feeder clubs they set up to hoover up talent across the world, they’ll never be seen in the same way Utd, Liverpool, Barcelona Real Madrid etc are seen, never, ever. To any football fan with an ounce of integrity they’re almost invisible, just completely beige and meh. As has been said in the thread already, I hate teams like Utd and Liverpool, but I'm just totally ambivalent about City. I could watch a Utd game and enjoy it by willing them to lose, but if I ever watched a City game not involving us, I’d just be staring through the screen with a glazed look.

Can we win , yes if we play like we did against Chelsea

will we win, don’t be ******* stupid they are going to score at least 5 and probably a lot more

I don’t hate city (I hate Liverpool) but I never look forward to us plying them, and playing with.a dodgy ref is a whole new level of horror

if we score a goal and only get beat 3-1 or 2-1 I’ll be happy , let’s just get it over and done with and pray we don’t get any more injuries

if we win then i would expect this forum to literally go into melt down with all the positivity for CR70

Also, they are the worst team in the 4 divisions that play in sky blue and white.

They could inflict the biggest Premier League defeat on us and I'd still be more bothered about the Brentford game. They're just a boring club, it's two games out of the whole season that don't interest me at all.

During our last stint in the PL, it felt like the players had a mental block playing City - they looked beaten before they'd run onto the pitch to warm up.

We know Mahrez is going to start, luckily Holebas isn't playing so he won't get the freedom of Watford to do what he wants.

I'd have loved to have seen what a fully fit squad could have done against them.

They seem very upset we aren't bowing down to them for saving the league (along with Chelsea) from the "dippers and rags" as the fans on there call Liverpool and Man U (plus Arsenal) I presume.

We should be grateful teams like City exist as we get loads of money from the Premier league apparently because of them.

Also complain the media paint a bad picture of them - well not sure that is true.

The press love Pep and City's style of play!

To be honest reids I think he is a charlatan. It's the same names that get the top spots. He had Messi at Barcelona in a fairly weak La Liga. I think Messi would make us mid table finishers comfortably by himself. Serie A was a one team league until old mother corruption was hit by financial issues and well Bundesliga is what it is. A one team league. He has come to the PL which is slightly more competitive and despite spending inordinate sums of money not managed to win the title each year. Klipp Klopp outcoached him several times in the process. And still to make a title in the CL. I really would like to see what he could do with a team like Norwich. Can he really adapt. Does he have an eye for a player in the lower reaches ? In the past managers worked their way up in general. Now the top spots generally get handed around the same few names.

Anyway I dislike him a great deal and he has a dubious record as a player in his time in Italy.

Yes we secured a fortune for Sancho and Galvez from them. How kind and considerate of them. A large number of the idiots on their forum were in the same position years ago moaning about the spending power of certain clubs like their neighbours Manure. As soon as they managed to secure funds from Abu Dhabi those thoughts were quickly forgotten.

That sort of high press and pass and move was already in place in many teams before in history. Bill Nicholson, the maquina of River Plate and of course Bielsa with NOB and Argentina. Time dulls the memories of everyone and we have a recency bias as if baldy had discovered a new formula. He's fortunate he had such a dominant midfield and young Leo about. Most team with Messi in them and a decent supporting cast would win silverware regardless.
