If we play for the 3-0 defeat we might be able to keep it to 4-0. 15 mins ? Different oppo I know but remember it was 0-0 a quarter of the way through that FA cup final.
This can only go one of two ways... Spurs comfortably batter us 4-0 OR we sh*thouse our way to a 1-0 last minute Sissoko winner from a Rose cross.
Delefeou and Pusseto scoring for Udinese. Troy leaving. Success sold. So many mixed emotions I might not even have any feelings left when Son makes it 5 on Sunday
Think we will get well beaten but season starts after international break with the bonus of 3 points already on the board.
To be fair, Spurs are hardly a team to be terrified of these days. Obviously if we put in the sort of performance we did at Brighton they'll hammer us, but they're far from unbeatable, hence them finishing 7th last season.
What’s your aureole success rate for predictions ? I ask because if it’s over the 75th percentile I’m going big on this .
@luke_golden yeah he’s scored 5 times in 9 matches against us, and only against Southampton has he scored more. Alli is another one who always seems to shine against us. I might go for Antonio though I think.
We should put your nips against Mark Lawrensen in a head to head prediction league for the rest of the season. Then we'll see who knows more about football.
All on Xisco this game. Spurs are nothing to fear and we can easily get a result. It will all depend on how he sets us up. if he sets us up to defend, that shows Spurs to much respect and they will sense the fear. if he sets us up to attack, that shows Spurs we have no respect for them and we’re not afraid of them. That will make them nervous, they will know a front three of Cucho, Dennis and Sarr out paces them at the back all day. We need to attack them. Thats the only chance we have of getting something out of this game. If we attack, we win 2-1. if we defend, we lose by a cricket score. Got to have a positive attacking mindset.
You're not the only person who has said Watford have nothing to fear in this game. However, they beat Man City at home without Kane whereas we looked poor at Brighton. Man City have better players/attackers than us and they couldn't score. Logic would dictate that a 11 v 11 away match against a side superior to Brighton (with Kane back as well) can only go one way i'm afraid.
4 goals conceded and none scored in the last 110 minutes or so of prem football. We are in free fall. Spurs 9 (Kane 3,5,15, Son 32,47,55, Alli 87,88,89) WFC 0 (Deeney missed pen). Munoz falls on his sword. Tough day for the COGs.
There is a strong chance that logic will apply here. It will be a surprise to me if, 11 v 11, Watford get anything out of the game. But surprises can happen now and again so we will see.
Maybe we'll get the penalty we should have had two years ago. Sarr will probably miss though, bring back Deeney ffs.
Or if we don't do well up front and Deeney does go and scores elsewhere.. But I think we will. Maybe not tomorrow though.
