Spurs is a write-off. Kane will want to prove that he's Mr Spurs again. Levy won't sanction Sissoko to us before the match anyway. We have our 3 points on the board and we start from scratch after the break with a totally different midfield.

I believe Levy has always dealt with us fairly in the past. Spurs want him off the wage bill so I can see a Kucka type deal happening.
    But I can't see us paying 10m for a 32 year old.

It's the kind of game I almost hope Kucka isn't back for, I'd hate for us to go 3 or 4 nil down, then see him limp off the field and miss the Wolves game which is more winnable

No, it's how you spell Issac. Isaac is spelt Isaac.

    My mate just text me;

"Good engine, reliable goes up and down all day and will carry others easily. Has a tendancy to come off the rails if he pushes it too hard".

He was talking about thomas the tank engine though.

Which means he won't be available for us for the first 2 months after signing. Muscle imbalance etc...

Spurs aren’t all that yet, struggle for goals and yet their supporters expectations are sky high. A good time to play them. Someone will knock the wind out of their sails. Let it be Kucka.

They have won both games and have a certain Harry Kane back in the fray - you know, the top scoring, top assist making Spurs player? And they are playing us who have played one away game this season and were largely awful and unthreatening.

    There’s hope - and then there’s questionable over-optimism!

Very much doubt Kucka will play. Minor knocks take longer to recover from when you're 34.

I disagree. I believe only Nuno.

Could be an important signing that adds some height, which presumably means that we don’t have to play Cathcart at right back to compensate for the fact that the rest of the team are midgets.

Yeah, we can play Sissoko there now.

So would be safe to say that Cleverly won’t be starting every game so begs who the captain will be .

Troost is the obvious candidate but if we were to sign a new CB as his replacement who would be captain ? Sierralta I guess

Etebo, Kuca & Sissoko is a decent PL level midfield. I’d be very happy with this with a view to sustaining our PL status.

    Bachmann possibly?

But I still have a worry we will see a lot of WTE this season so I think it will likely be him when Cleverley doesn't play

I agree. I was responding to a post saying we should save him for another game. That I don’t agree with. We should play our best possible side Sunday. It’s only Spurs.

    Alasdair Gold -
Moussa Sissoko is nearing a switch to Watford, bringing his half-decade tenure at Tottenham to a close.
The 32-year-old, a then club record signing from Newcastle, is expected to move for a small transfer fee, less than the figures currently being bandied about.

I can get on board with this deal if it's a small fee

Don’t worry. Gino won’t be asking for financial contributions from any of us, so it’s all good.

Even if we closed the deal in the next 15 minutes, the likelihood of him playing in a Sunday match is near zero. If he were a goalkeeper or a strike, maybe. You'd have to me utterly mad to drop in a new number 8 who's never trained with the team.

Sissoko is beyond any expectations I had for signings this season.

Capoue wasn't remotely in the picture for Spurs and was an outsider from the start, along with Stambouli who was also on our radar. Sissoko has been a mainstay in a consistent CL/EL team for five years.

This is a real coup if we can get it tied up.

This would be good but I don't think itll happen. Spuds always want over the odds for their players and he'll want wages we cant match

  26. Deeney's off I think, that should release a chunk of budget for wages

They also said the same about Capoue and Gomes, and now Capoue has won more than anyone at Tottenham for 13 years, so what do they know?
