I had to take the dog out after that to calm down. We won the battle, won after going behind and scoring the winner direct from a free kick in injury time made it all the sweeter. If this result doesn't breed confidence nothing will. Fair play to every single player out there, they didn't shirk anything against a well organised powerful team. No theatrics from either team really which was good to see. Brentford or Swansea will not be looking forward to playing Cardiff.
Think I’m saying the home games are must/should win. But Rotherham and boro are tricky as where they’re both positioned in the table. Yes all games could be looked at as tricky but right now just that little bit more so Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Really sad to see so many bedwetters abandoning their side at their time of need. Show some backbone, lads!
Because , the oppo manager will stick your comments on the changing room whiteboard and the game will turn into a "cup match" type fight . I.E. don't motivate the opposition to do a job on you
Under the Pozzos so far we’ve had 4 seasons that went right down to the last match of the season. The failure to beat Leeds in the last league match, then the play off final. Two years later the title was decided on the final match. Then an FA Cup final. Then sadly last season relegation on the final day. Something tells me this season will go right down to the wire too. And hopefully out last match won’t be a play off game.
Someone else mentioned this to me but could you imagine the scenes in the away end if this was pre covid
If it weren't for covid I'd now be on a train from Cardiff to London trying to find someone with a bottle opener
I like Bachman think he is a good keeper and to have him as backup is really lucky. However as per all of our goal keepers in recent memory by **** does he worry me at times , when he got his yellow my first thought was what the **** are you doing out of the goal trying to take on an opposition strikers and my 2nd thought was **** he is about to be sent off. I think he must get bored and decide he want to see some action. don’t know what we should do now, foster is a great goal keeper as well , but also capable of really stupid errors , tough call for Xisco
Haha I’m giving Adam Masina more credit that any of the 25? WFC players who have made 462 ?attempts from a direct fk in the past 5 years. Happy Almen Abdi Memorial Day
Foster is the better stopper I think, but Bachmann is better at playing out from the back. Foster tends to hoof given any opportunity. With this Pedro Sarr Sema 433 it's more important we play out from the back imo.
Just to add, we seem to be an actual team now. After the very unscheduled relegation, we were scrambling around for an XI and some kind of identity as a Championship team. We’ve found it now. And we may have found it in time.
Anyone got the video of flint pulling Sierralta’s man bun? Love that Sierralta got him back at the end and ran off haha.
Todays result feels oddly like the result we had against Bolton when Deeney scored the winner and the togetherness of the staff and players was on display for all to see. Sadly unlike that day no fans.
I was thinking the same thing. Scenes on the touchline with Joka going mad celebrating with the team. We played well that day but I think Lonnergan? had an absolute blinder in a mini battle with Almen Abdi. It just seems to be coming together nicely at the moment, and there is the feeling that it is going to be. a special season like that season.
I don’t mean to be the harbinger of doom on what is a great day, but if we don’t go up we’re in precisely the same position.
Not on paper. Just don’t want to go to the Rotherham’s of the league expecting to win and slipping up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wonder what the enforced break will do to them. Just think of the complaints from other teams at the bottom if they win.
BIG BIG WIN! Great first half. Scrappy second half. But what a way to win it, and great celebrations too. Masina's free kick even had the aul fella up celebrating and he's not even a Watford fan! The team are all fighting for one another, playing good ball but not afraid to mix it, and we certainly don't back down to any team that tries to impose their physicality on us. Sierralta played very well not letting the OG get to him. And Chalobahs goal was terrific, but even his work rate and mobility about the pitch seem to have gone up a few levels recently, doesn't look to be playing within himself anymore, credit where it's due. These type of wins are almost better than a 3-0 win, much more emotion and buzz off them, lets carry that forward. No need to be fearing any teams around us during the run-in, ditch the losers mentality of 'oh we'll bottle it against this lot', we've been a Premier League team for 5 of the last 6 years, we're more than a match for any of them, we're on a good run of form and are a team that really looks together and up for the scrap! Onwards!
