I'd like to think that the Bournemouth match has removed any chance of us being complacent for Wycombe, but this is Watford so I can't rule anything out.

A nervy 2-1 win, Sierralta to score his first for the club a la Welbeck Vs Norwich.

I would prefer Joe Jackson taking set pieces for them.

Hoping for at least a 4-0 win, but this also could be one big banana skin for us  Perica must start, and IMO he will score.

Would help if Bachmann started stepping out for a few crosses.

Tomorrow against Wycombe and in the game coming up against Cardiff, I think we need to be very careful about the aerial threat they pose. Watford are poor in the air and this weakness is likely to be targetted. We don't score many headed goals and apart from Sierralta (Masina not bad for a left back) the defence is suspect to high balls into the box. One obvious thing to do is minimise the number of free kicks and corners coming in. To do this we have to keep our discipline!

I think the boys will feel esp up for this one, and the guys coming in even more so. Our main trouble seems to be that every opponent team does their homework to find away to stop us whilst we just play our own game hoping it will be enough. Likewise I think we now "play" like a Prem team when the others are mainly typical championship slugger, so if we don't score we get beaten up and picked off.
I've more or less accepted it's the play offs for us, so with that in mind I just want our guys to keep focus, keep improving, and be at their zenith for those last few games.... Sorry for that but I think we will gradually improve and once the scorers click properly I am expecting great things....

I saw yesterday during the game against the Derby that they love to launch balls into the box from throw ins and it very effective for them. I'd worry if Bachmann is facing those in our up upcoming game against Cardiff.

We have to hope Sierralta manages to deal with Morrison from them.

With Xisco's tactical nous and ability to tailor his game-plan to his opponents, he'll probably station Sierralta sitting firmly on Junior Hoilett at all dead-ball situations.

I've paid my tenner. I'm not expecting to be entertained by this attack vs defence training session.

I'm guessing he might not, only due to my reasoning that, when we were 1-0 down at the weekend, Xisco put Perica on to try and do something rather than Gray.

No idea why but I think I would start Gray. I've seen nothing from Perica to suggest he's any good. I would be more tempted to play Success to be honest. I think Sema has look knackered recently and with Wycombe likely to defend deep maybe Zinc might be a better option.

Agree with Gosling for Chalobah and agree with Zinc for Ken.

Agree also to Stipe before Gray on the grounds that we haven't really seen Perica given a start and a proper chance. Personally I've seen more than enough of Gray. I'd rather see Hungbo than Gray. I'd rather see Troy in his boot and on a walking stick than Gray. I'd rather see Tommy Mooney than Gray. I'd rather we illegally played Joao Pedro and got fined 12 points than Gray.

    No more Gray.

I know he hasn’t scored in years, and he’s got naught between his ears,
It’s even worse than it appears if he starts,
Oh well Andre Gray sort of suits us anyway,
Blame it on the Pozzo way,
That is all I’ve got to say and it’s alright.

We will get by, we will survive.

Gray slid down my rankings when he cupped his ears vs Newcastle. He did score a peach of a goal at Burnley, and had a purple patch with late winners vs Leicester and Palarse in the Cup run.

He also played that sublime pass to Delafoo in the FA Cup Semi for our winner, but nothing in between those times had he shown anything.

This match is either going to be another Bristol City are some kind of car crash.

I have one of those 'bad feelings' about this game. Anyone who was at the Yeovil game in 13/14 probably has it too.

Wycombe won't roll over and I'm concerned our players might get caught out by that.

    Prediction

    Watford 0-3 Wycombe
    (Webster 45+2), Miller (53), Edwards (90+3)
