Simply have to agree. Can’t see how anyone can come to any other conclusion - although apologists will. The comment speaks for itself.

He clearly left Masina and Femenia out of the side out of sheer arrogance. And hadn’t learnt his lesson by the 65th minute when he needlessly brought Gray on.
Nah. He couldn’t as he peddled the ‘my teams is amazinga, gladiators, I’m veeery happy’ schtick after the tedious 0-0 at Millwall less than a week ago. He’s been a manager for 2 mins and achieved nothing to shout about - yet he still thinks he’s good enough to treat QPR with complete arrogance.

Yeah but they only did that for a short spell where every tweet or article was a rather pathetic coded dig at Ivic.

Worst result of the season. As a child we were surrounded by QPR fans, Oxhey is still knee deep in them, I don’t care what happens now for the rest of the season. Losing at home to that lot has ruined the year.

At least we know this latest head coach has no chance of being here after May. Would rather have Mark Hughes.

Deeney’s deal is provisionally up in the summer isn’t it?

Not that I don’t fully expect him to be offered a new deal as one of the next steps on Gino’s path of destruction.

Touting him as having any philosophy whatsoever was frankly laughably crass and delusional. He's literally not even qualified to be a coach, and he clearly has no tactical plan whatsoever. It's not even particularly evident as it stands that he's aware of the nuance generally known as 'positions'.

Mmm, you're right, but as you say I just can't possibly see Gino not having been so monumentally stupid as to have presented him with a fresh renewed contract with the 'years' section left blank for him to fill in as he sees fit.

I have not been on here for a while. The bad news about the resorts not opening up has been a hammer blow. Funny that we can have a twice weekly market, but not regulated numbers on the chairlifts or gondola's. We have had some great snow this season with more to come this week.
No skiing, a lockdown and bloody covid19..
I let this go because we can look forward to following the Hornets for some light relief. How wrong was l this season.
Well, what another shower of s**t it was tonight. Are we really that bad? Are the players really that bad? We are hopeless.
This is a very weak league and we are so poor. To lose 2-1 to a very weak QPR side just shows us that we are simply not good enough. Promotion is just a dream. Mid table to the relegation places is about our level. We were awful tonight. Nothing positive at all to speak of.
My son has told me that he no longer wants to wear his Watford shirt anymore at football practice It will be OL or Bayern Munich and now Man Utd!!! I have tried for 8 yrs to convince him, but even a child know the difference between steak and dogshit.
What a shambles of a club we are.

I can freely admit that you are the kind of saddo who pins his self identity on winning non existent , fabricated arguments with complete strangers on the internet , most probably to paper over the the cracks of a fundamental, real world insecurity .
Which would explain why you constantly try to condescend and patronise people, usually unsuccessfully.

Your complete lack of a sense of humour , I have no explanation for however . Probably just down to being a boring **** I guess .

The head coach said he could not place his finger on why his team underperformed, but said it was his mistake.

There was that game at home earlier in the season when Gray mistimed a flick from the edge of our area towards the waiting opposition forwards which almost resulted in a goal. So he is quite capable of losing us a game. He then went off injured.

I was thinking of maybe following Barnet as they're quite nearby, but then I remembered Scott Loach is playing in goal for them, so...

Who would they get in next? With the Cub Scouts Leagues currently suspended it will difficult to scout (excuse the pun) for the "right" next head coach appointment.

Also add, with clubs unable to let player targets leave before bringing replacements in. Repeat ad nauseum.

A QPR mate said today they couldn't beat an egg. I told him we can only score penalties and if they score 2 they'll definitely win. He now thinks I know what I'm talking about. LMAO.

Great shout we need an Akela, must be loads of them about at the moment with time on their hands.

Earning badges for achievements would be a great motivational tool as well, imagine the scenes when 52 yr old Andre Grey is still in the troop and gets his first goal scoring badge, everybody will be made up for him.

Also during these times of financial difficulty they could do car wash events and cut old folks grass to earn the club an extra few quid.

Pakhtakor Tashkent strolled to the league title in the Uzbekistan Superliga. I suggest we get on the blower to the mastermind behind that team of champions.

What must the quality of football be like in Georgia if this clown can win two consecutive titles out there?!!!

But the last few weeks of his reign were truly awful culminating in that 0-3 home defeat to Yeovil. Once the opposition teams had worked out how to play against him, he then had no Plan B and the wheels really did come off. Joka really was the one. He would make a substitution and change tactics if he needed to at the drop of a hat. Even when playing an overly physical team like Steve Evans' Rotherham that season, he picked big strong players who were not going to be bullied. That game was not pretty but we ground out a 3-0 win. I really miss his team. Shame the owners didn't value him and went for an ultra-defensive coach in Quique who happened to have 2 strikers in the form of their lives. It would have been good to see what Joka would have done with that team in the top flight.

I'd expect the quality of football in the Georgian league to be the equivalent of the Sunday League Division 1 right around the corner from me. Absolute turd.

A bit harsh on Flores, who was actually pretty decent during his first spell, at least until the final third of 2015/16. I wouldn't call going on a streak of W6 D1 L2 "ultra-defensive", nor our performances against West Ham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Norwich, Arsenal in the FA Cup and even some of the ones against the big guns where we were unlucky not to get even a point. And it was more than just having two strikers in good form - yes his pet Jurado's contribution was questionable at best, but Capoue, Watson, Nyom, Britos, Prodl and Ake (who did more than just defend) were all vital contributors to us staying up comfortably and nearly making top 10.

To address your final point, I suspect it would have been much as Fulham did in their previous season in the top flight - yes his teams were exciting to watch and he made astute tactical changes but don't forget in many games we needed 3+ goals to win, something that wouldn't cut it at a higher level.

    Sack him.

Not his fault he’s under qualified for a job he probably didn’t apply for and was likely just approached out of the blue for - if they were that enamoured with Xisco, give him experience and a ‘sounding board’ in his backroom staff. This just smacks of a head coach learning his trade at a level way above his current ability whilst surrounded by Spanish NVQ PE teachers.

Yes its another sacking. No I don’t want us to continually do this again and again. But I even less want us to plow on with a coach who is so obviously going to fail just because we are worried about the optics of the situation. Better now while we can save the season, than in 1-2 months time when we can’t. And it’ll happen, it’s just a matter of when.

His line-ups are wrong, his tactics are wrong, his comments are weird a lot of the time and he paints nothing but a picture of being a patsy for the hierarchy to micro-manage without complaint. His interviews after the game tonight were a car-crash and laid bare his complete inexperience. Even he couldn’t hide from it. Not once has he given any tangible info - it’s the same words and sentences regurgitated over and over again. It’s weird.

I said it at the time of Ivic’s sacking - its time to have a serious manager with credentials and who has earned the right to manage at this level and higher.

The only way the owner can salvage this mess is by taking a step back, realising the current methods of working aren’t working, realising the disaster of the transfer window and season to date and attempt to arrest the decline decisively - and employ Paul Cook. And let him have as much control as he wants. And I bet we would flourish.
