The fact we beat Norwich with relative ease shows the players are up to it, if they fancy it and if they’re utilised in the best way.

They stopped playing for Ivic and Munoz is setting us up to play in a way that reflects his experience and standing in the game, he has absolutely none of either.

We've painted ourselves into a corner where we need the defibrillator of a new manager to get the players to perform for a few games, but more often than not we’re in the position of not being able to appoint a manger with any sort of tactical nouse because we’re half way through a season looking for our umpteenth manager.

You aint wrong about that, I have noticed a change over the last 18 months or so. I ignore the BW and HC terminology, let the juveniles get on with it, I will leave it to them. Only thing I would ask of you is to stay strong, try to offset the haters' views with intelligent views of your own, carrying on being you, and not to let the 'whiners' take over completely. We need people like your good self in this forum to share your thoughts. The most important thing is being you and being strong to yourself and having your say. Cheers.

Surely even plebs like you and I could take a guess on where they rank on the Pashun-o-meter?

On the Pashun-o-meter it's a devastating win for Munoz, I'd say (YMMV on whether that's an esteemed trophy or a poisoned chalice, though).

Got to be honest I felt truly gutted by that (lucky it’s only a game)

not sure what the managers / owners are playing at, I am 100% positive I could pick a better starting line up and create better tactics.

why the **** are we starting Hughes on the wing , he is excellent but not on the wing , when Sema came on we had so many more options , if he couldn’t play 90 mins why didn’t we start zinc.

why the **** did we take JP off and then bring on Gray why the **** did we take Hughes off not Clev or challobah

why the **** is the manager making 6(or 5) substitutes per game

Navara was really poor , didnt link up with Sarr and and kept hitting dreadful crosses.

apart from that it was great

Non pen xG haha. Can we have a look at the 'non left-footed shots xG'

Yeah, I think fundamentally outside of any debates on the merits or lack of when it comes to xG, non-pen xG, non-shot xG, non left-footed shots xG, non xG xG, it's pretty clear to anyone watching us that we don't have any coherent attacking plan whatsoever - at least, not that is in evidence on the pitch and working. It's not a new problem; we've been at that for long periods before, but right now it looks about as bad as ever, and it's emblematic when outside a penalty (which although fairly won, was hardly Sarr being scythed down with his leg poised to shoot from 6 yards in the centre of the box) we barely troubled QPR's goalie at any point.

Ive been called a bedwetter for 3 years in this place, day in day out. Can’t say it bothers me much.

Quite amusing you called it juvenile though and then used the phrase “haters” with a straight face!

Yeah, I agree. Personally I'm (on the whole) enjoying games a little more under Xisco than Ivic. Up to QPR, at least. Ivic couldn't get any cohesion going forward despite a pre season and 20+ games. I'm prepared to give Xisco more time to work on the training ground but is it simply down to not having a decent, out and out (fit) striker in the squad?

For me, I would say the enjoyment stopped a couple of games earlier, Millwall certainly not containing much of that for one, and my personal opinion is that having a good striker might help us as a team in terms of being able to do some things themselves using their own skills/talent/experience etc etc, but there are far too many mistakes and errors across the pitch and bench for it to be a problem purely of one missing personnel.

I don't see a great deal of evidence that Xisco has much impact coaching wise at all - I just see him basically having said whatever 'go and ave a run abaht' in Spanish is. I would also say that, whilst Ivic's football by the end was mind-numbingly boring, I do feel like we have less control in any given game (to a detrimental degree) now under Munoz.

Fundamentally, for all our issues, I believe a good coach would get more out of this team than Xisco is currently. That is all fantasy, of course, and the option of any good coach is unlikely to be open to us; certainly not one that we are previously aware is a 'good coach'. I don't see much evidence, though, that Xisco is getting anything out us, or imprinting/coaching any style of play, nor that he's particularly capable of it.

For some reason Bournemouth losing slightly took the edge off this. We may be poo but there's plenty of rubbish in this division.

Due to the paucity of entertainment at Vicarage Road these days, perhaps they could bring back the dog track and have Greyhound Racing during the match. At least the dogs would have more tempo, better tenacity and show more prowess in front of goal, than the current setup .

Last night was the second time (out of three opportunities) this season that we’ve won an away match and then failed to follow it up with victory in our next home game.

Typical Watford to break our poor record on the road and then fail to keep up our impressive home record next up.

The confusing thing is Munoz is making bizarre team selections and subs, but then there is the theory he is potentially just a puppet for Gino and he probably doesn’t even pick the team.

I’m not sure what’s worse really. Maybe it just extends to having to play Deeney and give Gray as many minutes as viable.

"But I don't know why, I can't say what exactly 100 per cent why we can't score like this, but we are working. We have a different system in training to try and we continue."

A new formation for the Coventry game. Could be a variation of the "Port And Starboard" game beloved of Youth Clubs and Scout troops. Munoz stands on the touchline barking out Port, Starboard, Stern, Bow, Man Overboard etc. while the players run around to different parts of the pitch with or without the ball.

It could be the shape of things to come.

I don't think Xisco has a clue. What did we expect?
A happy clapper on the sidelines, he now looks haunted as he realises that he is out of his depth. His team selections and his substitutions are becoming bizarre.
It is not his fault, Gino made him an offer he couldn't turn down and he had nothing to lose. If he did well, what a find. If he fails, it was just another nutty appointment by a club out of control.
The entertainment is off the pitch not on it.
What a dreadful club we are.

The home performances up till last night had been quite positive I thought since he came but again we didn’t score enough goals abs last night we were made to pay for a more negative approach.

Because for the entire time in the Prem we relied on:
Ighalo having a crazy purple patch or
Pereyra doing something amazing occasionally which meant even in games he didn't teams were so pre-occupied with him others managed to score or
GD doing something amazing on a regular basis resulting in goals and the pre-occupation alluded to above or
Richarlison starting off like a house on fire so even when he'd tailed off he was given excessive respect by other teams

At no time was there any evidence of a structured method of transition from defence into attack that could occur without flashes of mercurial genius. Once that mercurial tendency tails off, we had nothing else, really. It looks like most of the squad have forgotten HOW to attack.

Indeed, as I said in my post, it's been a problem for long periods, and we complained about it then, knowing it would come back to bite us, but now it is actually worse than ever despite being a division below, and leaves us looking utterly guileless against the likes of QPR and Coventry.

Exactly echoes the points made by Leventhal on FTRE. This Watford not only does not recognize the strengths within its own squad, but seems not to prepare for the opposition's strengths. Leventhal pointed out that QPR often outplayed us at Loftus Road this season and had now got Charlie Austin. It made me consider this whole head coach set-up; remember sacking a head coach is not supposed to detract from the managerial knowledge at the club. But I wonder if anyone on the staff knew who Charlie Austin and Albert Adomah are, or that Dom Ball and indeed Warburton had a massive point to prove, or that Chair was dangerous. Is that what Xisco meant by being underprepared? At Championship level, most teams have only one fulcrum midfielder who directs everything and one truly dangerous attacker in the sense of an out and out goalscorer, but game after game, I see an opposition midfielder collecting the ball, picking a pass under no pressure and recycling if that avenue gets closed. QPR had Chair but we even managed to make Jon Obi-Mikel look effective because there was no pressure on him from Deeney or the midfield for half the game. Time and again, the one focal point striker gets chances and we're only saved by them not being that good (Akinfenwa, FFS!?). There are thousands among the supporters who know the specific dangers posed by certain opposition players just by dint of watching hundreds of games, yet we have a head coach, several assistants, a gaggle of analysts who apparently can't convey to Troost-Ekong that you don't let Charlie Austin get a run on you at the back post or to Will Hughes that you can't be wandering inside when you have a half-competent wing back teaming up with a team's most creative midfielder on your side.
