Yet your first comment after a great victory was to call out those who were in hindsight rightly very bored of Ivic’s football and wanted him gone?

Bit weird Ross. Let’s all just enjoy the victory and unleashing of our players.

Sky was very complimentary about our defensive shape, which they indicated was Vlad's only positive legacy. A pleasant surprise that we could keep it while playing a completely different style. Hope they don't forget how to do it.

The closest thing we’ve had to the TVOR dream of a Zola & Dyche joint management team.

Think I’m in the minority reading through all this but I felt Sierralta was a bit shakey and his passing was poor(ish). Wilmot on the other hand looked good and I can’t remember which two forumites argued about this, but I think he tries the most attack minded passes (on the deck) and is fairly good at them to. Our defence was very young last night and they did well as a unit against the team who have created the most goal scoring chances this season so hats off to them as a mini group.

Really enjoyed seeing all the squad smiling away with Muñoz at the end

Does that include the posters who openly state they hope Watford lose ?

You may be right about Clevs last night, as I didn't watch it.

Based on the season so far our central midfield has been largely non-existent.

Perhaps he's better with a better standard of players around him.

You don't even know what pedantic means, do you?

I am happy we won, as you can see expressed in my posts immediately after the final whistle; just like the vast majority of the noted BWs. Those kind of 'pedantic' details shouldn't get in the way of a grasping narrative, though, eh?

I'm actually gutted we won this. It's allowing the clappers to get uppity and above their station.

I'm not too worried though. As soon as THE KID bans orgies on matchday mornings or makes the players run in training, they'll down tools again.

Bedwetters stand by for more trouble ahead.

I don't understand why Deeney gave the ball to Perica to shield rather than the other way round. Deeney is actually quite good at it and Perica is weak as anything for a big bloke.

However it was also noticeable that Foster took a couple of easy catches after 80 minutes where he would usually do a multi stage flop to the floor to eat up a few seconds but this time he ran to the edge of the box to try to release the ball quickly - wonder whether this is Xisco's influence?

I agree. She was pretty smart. Didn’t tie the usual cliches. Seemed to appreciate the model the pozzos take. Had done some basic research (albeit reading the athletic - but that’s more than most)just because she doesn’t look pretty. I do t fancy her but I don’t fancy linekar - it’s irrelevant

I suppose the thing is with Championship coverage is that not many people watch it because they want to, they watch it because they have to, so they may as well actually be informed and put out some half decent content. The core audience for each game will be mostly fans of each team, so harder to get away with trotting out mindless platitudes.

The Premier league is watched by more causal fans, so they have the bigger name pundits who actually know very little because they don’t need to.

Ah bless , it’s so endearing to see the BWs rally round their spiritual leader.

Reminds me somewhat of Lord of the Flies.

I think she’s great . A proper football fan doing a job she loves. Much better to watch than that parasite Linekar and his back slapping , guffawing mates .

I find the coverage terrible, I much prefer to watch the game on Hive. I just put the game on a kick off and turn it over at the full time whistle. Keith Andrew's is a **** as well.

Any truth in the rumour that wfcmoog is planning to change his principal pseudonim (from amongst his many forum pseudonims) to ltfcmoog?

Andrews is very easy to dislike.
Every time he pops up I find him more of a pillock than the previous occasion.

Books and TV series are all good in my humble opinion. My mum and mother-in-law both adore the TV series. Have you read any of the Arnaldur Indridason's Detective Erlendur books? These are really good, and the Martin Beck books are well worth a read.

No not yet - there were 70-odd Maigrets and 20-odd Montalbanos so will try your suggestions next. Was also going to try the original van der Valk novels from the 1960s I believe

Van der Valk - good suggestion. The Beck books written by a Marxist couple starting in the 60s and progressing through to 70s are very scathing about societal changes, the rise of the state and its institutions and yet are very sympathetic to the actual detectives who just try and do their job in the police force. Surprisingly, there is much black humour in them. It's strange chuckling to yourself during the investigation of a grisly murder.

Yesterday evening, wasn't it great to see/hear a winger attack the flank, put in a cross, and the opposite winger, ghost in at the far post, and score, just as in days gone by. Perhaps now the great GT will have stopped revolving in his casket.

I liked him as a player, and like him as a pundit. Dunno why he fell out with Slav, who I also like - maybe he tried to tell him how Watford should play.

I said he can tackle :). Others may disagree with my other points and that's fine, I just gave my honest assessment of him from what I've seen in starts up to now.

He may have come on leaps and bounds since - let's see if he makes runs down the flank crossing balls into the box, let's see him stopping the crosses regularly, let's seem him passing effectively from the back. He will have to be picked first.
