Irrelevant m8. That doesn't warm up the air around him now does it? That's what causes the injuries. The cold. The bitter bitter cold. So cold.
If Welbeck players even 5 minutes against Tranmere it will be the greatest thing to ever happen to that club.
Looking forward to the golfing equivalent of the air shot, followed by Danny being carried off on a stretcher. It’s not been the same without Danny boy
I have a vision of the slightly unhinged Wagner freak in 'The Silent World of Nicholas Quinn" Morse episode. What the chap does to his cassette, when interrupted by his parents and Morse is what the TRFC defenders will do to DW if he sets foot upon the pitch.
Out of interest and not trying to come across too negatively but do you reckon there is a relegation release clause in his contract?
We were his last chance really. Can't see anyone else picking him up, even on a free. He needs to start performing.
Well his main problem is keeping fit. Bloke will never cope with the Championship which will have even more mid week games as it start later next season.
Looks fitter. He should be played with Pedro in tandem or if needed with Deeney. We need goals. We need pace. We need movement.
There's a reason why he's always played on the wing. His strength and control is not nearly good enough for our hoofy woofy w*nkers to play centrally.
And doesn't score enough generally for a main striker. Mind you no one else is.. The fact he was dropped straight away after the Burnley game when loads could have been says to me there are still doubts over his fitness.
That is right but they have to manage him carefully after such a long time out and with his recent injury record.
Our medical team since Collinge has been one of the worst in the division. The number of players we have lost for significant spells impacts the team directly. And also the fact we are almost forced into taking chances on sicknotes like Janmaat. It's inexcusably bad management from the top.
Danny Welbeck is one of only 4 players to have scored in the PL at least once in every one of the last ten seasons. Anybody like to name the other three?
Walcott, David Silva and Benteke. The first three players I could think of that might’ve been in the Prem for 10 years. Edit: Just looked up Benteke (was least convinced of) and he’s only been in the Prem 8 years. I’ll leave the other two guesses as a surprise.
Walcott and David Silva are two, yes. The other one is a midfielder and the ten year period has spanned two clubs for him, one of them highly successful.
There can't be many that have been in the Prem that long, was thinking Noble or Aguero initially but not sure as you've mentioned a midfielder whose been at two clubs, and neither have been at another PL team. Could it be Milner? Henderson?
Jordan Henderson is right. I would have probably said Milner myself, but on checking his stats he’s had two complete seasons in the last ten without scoring. This is Aguero’s 9th season in England. Noble has been at West Ham more than ten seasons and scored in every one of them in the past decade but one of them was in the Championship.
I would keep him next season if we can, but I would also like to bring in at least one more decent striker, be it from our vast number of players we have scattered around the world or another more established experienced one.
Got a 3 year contract but would he be up for the challenge of 3 games a week on a regular basis IF we go down. EDIT: Fair point VoR.
Would anyone in the Premier League take a chance on him? If we can keep him, I'm sure he'd do fine in the Championship, though 46 games is an ask, would need someone competent to compete with him
Leventhal reporting he’s injured again. Hopefully not too seriously as that will make him harder to shift.
